Had herniated disc surgery with a preauthorized facility and doctor that is in-network . They are now trying to deny part of the services related to the surgery referred by the doctor and claiming they are out of network or not necessary(against the law now. Federal No Suprise Law) . I am still trying resolve this issue with them but they are inconsistent with there information and there claims specialists do not understand or follow up correctly with anything. They say they will cover it and then they change there mind without referencing the previous claim specialist notes and deny it again. Worst insurance ever.

Cigna is a bad insurance company. They were not transparent, the shared misleading information, and they were still trying to charge my credit after I canceled the plan and had sent tens of emails asking for a confirmation of cancelation. I had to ask my credit card company to block them as fraudsters to stop the unauthorized charges. Also, several times I went to the doctor's office and very expensive plan appeared as "inactive". Every time my doctor's office had to call them to "reactivate" it manually. It was very annoying. In general, my experience was very bad. I was very relieved to switch health insurance provider.

The absolute worse pet insurance. DO NOT PURCHASE. They love taking your premiums but when it comes time to file a claim they make it as painful as possible, and then don't pay out. I had Nationwide before and while not that great compared to Cigna they were a dream to deal with.

Cigna refuses to pay my therapist even though a Cigna rep confirmed that the sessions were covered. Past sessions were paid out, but for some reason once my coverage ended Cigna refused to pay out the last few sessions that were within my coverage dates. The Cigna rep I spoke with confirmed that those sessions should be covered, but we've been ghosted and at this point its been over a year. I don't think they plan on paying out my final invoices which is very frustrating since they were confirmed to be covered and within my coverage timeframes. It's entirely unethical. It seems like they saw my coverage came to an end and decided to ignore the final invoices that were within the coverage dates. My therapist and myself reached out many times with the invoices with no response. Beware.

We are still waiting for our claim submitted on 29th August to be settled. Although we had already provided our bank details when we submitted the claim, we were contacted by email several to ask for the same information. Since then we have chased by email and phone to be told each time the payment has been made we should receive it in 5 working days. Last contact was 10 days ago to be told the same rubbish. Either Cigna are stalling or not going to pay at all. Still says on our membership portal that the claim is in progress. Not impressed to be honest.

LAMENTABLE EXPERIENCIA. LA SEGURIDAD SOCIAL DA MUCHO MEJOR SERVICIO QUE ESTA COMPAÑIA. Tengo un seguro de salud que se supone que es premium. Siempre que necesito algo, buscan y rebuscan para decir que NO está cubierto, entrando en contradicciones absolutamente ruines y mezquinas. Lo único premium es el precio de la póliza. Nada aconsejable ... hasta el punto de ser vergonzoso.

I attempted to submit a claim online with a bill that was well written and had all the requested codes. My claim was mailed back to me during 3 attempts because the uploaded form was not clear enough. It was legible and professional but apparently not PERFECT. After calling and uploading 3 times, and 3months, I was able to speak with a representative again who put the claim through. This clearly was INEFFICIENT and the experience reflects other patients experience that the company is NOT IN THE SERVICE OF PATIENTS, but DELAY and inefficiencies delays payment and perhaps allows the company to benefit from the claim money not given.
