Changed to 3* from 1*, 4-7-2023 I've been getting "please contact us emails. 1st one I told them i was already in contact with one of they're people. An attorney (i think). My problem has been fixed after several hoops. God forbid if i had some life threatening condition & needed drugs asap for it. Would i have the same issues? I prefer to NOT have to speak with Cigna again AND have my legitimate claims processed in a reasonable time & manner. Today is 1-19-2023 I reviewed prescription drug plan & co pay prices. Took Screen shots. Called Cigna, to double confirm prices & drugs. AFTER OPEN ENROLLMENT CLOSED, I went to get 3 prescriptions Jan 7th 2023. 2 were as advertised. 3rd was supposed to be $6.95 per month co pay. Was $51.99 month.! 7.48 fold increase or $623.88 yr instead of $83.40yr. when i complained that was wrong on Fri, they denied the drug all together. Claimed i was new to them & new to drug I've been taking since about 2008 & my doctor didn't respond by Monday morning (closed Fri-Sat-Sun) open 9am Monday to fax request info & 8-9pg legal mumbo jumbo denial.! Request for reconsideration or an appeal at the bottom of the 8-9 pgs. 12 days later (now) Supposedly working on 3rd request to do this prescription. Ended up using Good RX $10.38 If i had not paid for the full yr ($147) & open enrollment wasn't closed I'd switch. But now I'm stuck with this HORRIBLE INSURANCE COMPANY . ALL PRECEDING & following IS MY PERSON LAY PERSON OPINION (Wouldn't want to get squashed like a bug) by Cigna top 2 share holders BLACK rock & Vanguard also i believe other black rock corps

Seriously - never enter into a contract with this company. In their guidelines, many exceptions are made to the detriment of the customer. I have had to pay both dental costs and the costs for medically necessary X-rays myself, although I believe they are clearly stated in the contract. With the dental measures one is then confronted with the fact that only 2 (!!!!!!) visits are paid for and with the x-rays I was told that I had not booked an outpatient add-on. I would like to add that the x-rays were ordered by a doctor. Due to the fact that I suddenly had dizzy spells and slight blackouts. I put down 2k euros for 1 year and am sitting on numerous costs as all reimbursement requests are rejected. I have had 6 years experience with international health insurance, Cigna is by far the worst. Disgusting. To make it clear how the regulations for dental care are hidden: # Total Benefit for dental treatment on page 40 # The coverage limit is stated on page 16 I think with this information you can see very well how this insurance "works".

Cigna is the worst. They authorised 8 physio sessions for my back issues and after completing them, they told me I own £650 because I exceeded a limit that nobody told me about. How can they approve a number of sessions that is going to exceed my annual limit without even telling me? THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY.

Cigna overruled my doctor’s recommendation for a medicine for psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. We appealed and provided the info they requested. They upheld their decision and will not allow me to use the medicine I need. I got this plan through the Exchange and have concluded this plan is junk. It’s a way for Cigna to get my premiums while not providing the basic coverage that other plans have allowed. This is criminal.

I have had United Health Care and Blue cross blue shield and they were wonderful. I always felt good using my Insurance until I got Cigna. Now I HVe to fight constantly over claims due to incompetence in their customer service reps and claim processing. The latest is that I owe money to a medical group who has the claim on file but Cigna has LOST THE CLAIM! Lost it!!!! Can not find it anywhere for reprocessing under my name instead of my sons name. They mistakenly processed it under my sons name to begin with when he was JUST BORN AND IT SHOUKD HVE BEEN UNDER MY NAME. I HIT MY OUT OF POCKET MAX AND IT SHOUKD BE COVERED BUT THEY CONVENIENTLY LOST ALL RECORD OF THIS CLAIM. I have never ever had so much trouble with insurance as I HVe since getting Cigna. I am looking for a new job just to get away from them. They are the worst.

Please stay away from this company as they have the worst customer experience I have ever experienced. My review is based on a private insurance with Cigna Thailand, but I believe that this must be a bigger issue. Over two years I made only four small outpatient claims of insignificant value. Two of them were approved, but the money was never payed out. I tried to follow up with them every month over six months, but with no success. I have one of the most expensive plans that they offer. Here are some of my experiences with them: - Even though the claims are approved, they don't pay them out. When you try to follow up you get nowhere.
 - Customer service just listens to you, but they never follow up or take action. 
- It's impossible to get in touch with them, and you never get answers to your emails
 - It's really expensive, but you don't get a better product 

 On the bright side 

I am very happy that I did not have to make a bigger or more serious claim while being insured by them. 

I heard that Chubb is managing Cigna Thailand, so I would stay away from them as well.

Sent them a paper check to pay my premium for January on December 21st. They still haven’t processed it as of January 9th. I called them on December 30th to ask where my check is. The customer service rep I spoke to could not tell me where my check is. She put me on hold every time I asked a question. I asked if I’m covered for January if the payment is processed after January 1st. The rep said I have a three month grace period to pay my premium. It is now the 9th of January. Check still has not been processed. I got an email over the weekend saying that payment has not been received and they have suspended pharmacy services. The email says my policy will be terminated if payment isn’t received. Called Cigna again today. Sat on hold three times. Finally got a customer service representative who transferred my call to the Healthcare Marketplace when I asked for a supervisor. Called Cigna back and got another rep who transferred me to the billing department. After another hold I got a billing rep who repeated the three month grace period nonsense, couldn’t track down my check and said if I wanted to make immediate payment I would have to either do an EFT online or pay with a debit card (which I don’t have). I had to make an EFT once before when they were slow to process a check payment. The paper check I sent then suddenly turned up and was processed five days later. Not sure what I’m going to do now. I don’t want to give them access to my bank account. Need insurance and thought Cigna had a good reputation. Had them when I was working (am retired now but don’t yet qualify for Medicare). Sadly the insurance marketplace doesn’t give you many alternatives. No wonder no one likes to deal with insurance companies!

Cigna started the year off by dropping the pharmacy I regularly go to, when I went to pick up my prescriptions, I had to leave without one of them due to the new 800$ dollar price tag attached to it. Now they are saying they are dropping Centura health from their network. Doesn't sound like a big deal, except when you consider Centura has the biggest trauma center in my city, if you get in a car accident, your going to a Centura facility, that's where the ambulance is taking you. Now if you live, you will be left holding the bill, if not, your family gets it. What's the point of even having insurance?
