Nobody knows anything at Cigna. You get transferred until you get too frustrated to deal with whatever it was you called for initially. Cigna is the worst for customer service. They obviously do not care about their paying customers.

the WORST experience i have ever had in my life!!! DO NOT recommend this company to anyone!!! I submitted 2 claims 81565645 and 81573134 to get refund almost 4 months ago, and i still have not received my refund. during this period i was keep asking for my bank details, which I have already sent 5 times!!! After sending a response, you need to wait a week, 10 days until they finally answer something. And each time they ask for the same thing, although I already sent it. Today, after another request for the status of my claim, I received information that they made a mistake in entering bank details (they could not copy and paste properly), as a result, it seems that there is no way to return the money... Cigna customer service; are you serious!!?? A single UK number to call with an option for ‘urgent’ and ‘claim’ issues. That provided a twelve-minute wait (“Please be assured that your call is important to us and your call will be answered by the next available advisor”; what a joke) on an international call but that wait was not the worst of it. I gave ‘Customer Service’ the case reference, my policy number and all security details. I am then given 21 minutes of silence, call still connected, assuming that the advisor is checking on the status of my enquiry. I call back again, 17 minute wait followed by silence. Nothing. This for a simple claim, a one day stay in hospital, and my excess of US$750! Cancelling my policy will pay for this procedure in two months of no premiums. Going back to William Russell.

After I signed up for the year of insurance with my job and I am locked in I get notice from 3 providers that they couldnt reach an agrrement and their offices will no longer accept Cigna. These are large medical groups that just dont want to deal with Cigna..if you have an option go elsewhere This respinse is ridiculous- I have had this provider for more than 20 yeards and to save a few dollars Cigna will ditch them..I mean who cares about the actual people and Dr./ Patient relationships right???

I have had 3 back surgery's I have nerve damage and muscle damage. Cigna has over road my prescription from my doctor for my pain I HAVE EVERYDAY .i finally found a prescription that works after 2 years of pain. I would not recommend CIGNA to anyone. After my contract is up, they will be losing a customer. I will seek a company that really cares about PEOPLE.

Working for a government organization means constantly changing healthcare providers as both the government and healthcare providers are cheap. But having used Aetna (the best), United (ok), and even Blue Cross (second worst) no one compares to the absolute abysmal service of CIGNA. Even when you get their premium plans they require substantial hoops to get anything - specialists, prescriptions, scans. Every time I go to a pharmacy they say “Your insurance doesn’t cover this (even generic) drug without the doctor getting a pre-authorization.” It just grows tiresome and then if you need it next year - better hope they don’t deny it for the annual re-authorization. Customer service…nope. Even trying to get ahold of our org representative can take days. And they literally only rep our department. Worst, absolute worst.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to get into the website. I know my username and password, but, I still cannot get in. It also makes you request a code via email. The email never arrives or if it does, it does not work. If by some miracle, you do get the code, you have to enter within ten minutes, which also does not work. After a few tries, you get locked out of your account for an HOUR!
