Dental insurance is a rip off. Failed to send me a policy, no way to claim for any treatment, but they still take my money.

My wife went in for Traumatic Cataract Surgery. Charges for the surgery included a total of about 28,000. Cigna covers only monofocal lenses. The Multi-focal lenses cost $2600 each. Cigna does not cover the Multi focal. My question is this. Why does a monofocal lens exist? Is there a patient on the planet who wishes to see only far sighted or only near sighted? It seems that the mono focal lens exists only to enable Cigna to deny coverage for the Multi focal lens that every human anywhere wants.

My company recently switched to Cigna, and my medication that was covered by my previous insurance now needs prior authorization. My healthcare provider submitted the request, but Cigna has no record of it. Now I can't get my medication refilled and I am going to miss it. I am not sure what else they are going to cover, but with Cigna, you might as well not have insurance.

I have paid for COBRA for 4 months now. Someone made an egregious error on setting up my account. Cannot get it fixed cannot get my medication nor medical services. The system says I have no insurance. Only one person at Cigna has attempted to help. Her name is Kayla from customer service. Still awaiting resolution. What a nightmare.....

I would never use this insurance company again in my life. They deny everything, for one reason or another, and have actually made my life worse. Since they were my primary ins and my other ins was secondary, Cigna denied every single claim submitted and my secondary ins denied everything too because my primary ins didn’t pay it. I cancelled after 4 months. They’re making money hand and foot because they don’t pay any claims. Ridiculous!!

I am consistently disappointed with Cigna. I have been a member for 8 months. 1. I can't find a PCP. Their list of PCP's is outdated. I called through 20 of their listed doctors and they all were not taking new patients even when I filtered to find Dr's taking new patients. 2. I can't get support internationally. They outsource to MDLive and MDlive will not support you if you are not physically in the state your insurance is based in. Its crazy. 3. When you call in to their 1st level of Customer Support it is based in the Philipines and these guys are not smart or helpful. I always ask to get transferred to US help. But sometimes they can't even transfer it right. Updated as of 8/21 You see they responded to email them. I did and the response I got back was to call their help center! The email response provided no help or support. Only putting me back into their circle of madness.

Sincerely, Cigna These people only pay for their mistakes when you involve the employer the insurance is through. Thanks, medical school, for keeping Cigna accountable. Cigna, you are what is wrong with healthcare. Kindly stop existing. I'd ask you to stop stealing patients' money, but we both know you won't stop that. Rejecting claims faster than the doctors can make 'em... disgusting.
