The customer service is terrible
The customer service is terrible. No one is trained. All we wanted to do was cancel my dad’s insurance due to him moving to a different state. First person I talked to took his info and said we could call back a week later to get the letter of cancelation so we could forward that to his supplemental plan so the effective date would be May 1st. I called in april. So, a week later at the beginning of May, they still hadn’t processed the request and it apparently wasn’t done right. So the next lady added a memo to the request with the appropriate info and said she would call back so I can get the letter. She never calked back. I called them again a week later and the third lady told me nothing has been done with the request and in fact for them to cancel my father, we have to write them a letter or get on a three way call with Medicare. We are currently on hold trying to get a hold of Medicare. Meanwhile, I’m supposed to send the letter of cancelation by May 19th and that’s not going to be able to happen now. I’m not happy with Cigna customer service.
