I recently tried contacting Choice Hotels to redeem my so called "points". I currently wanted to use 20,000 points towards a room in Orlando which I was planning on booking. The Choice rep stated that one day would be credited; however, I ended up paying more than if I had booked directly through Choice. When I inquired about the matter when I called customer service @ 888-770-6800. I was informed that the new rate was at the hotels discretion. What kind of nonsense is that!!!! what is the point of dealing with Choice if all they do is make excuses and allow the hotels to bully the customers. I am outraged and as of today WILL NEVER EVER BOOK AT ANY OF THE CHOICE HOTELS!!! Choice does not care about the customer AT ALL!!! The only thing that Choice is good for is for giving people the run around. PLEASE RUN AND DONT LOOK BACK THIS COMPANY IS TRASH!!!

Quality inn at 611 Troy Schenectady Latham ny: offered one price charged another. First room still had used towels in bathroom. 2nd room did smell better but had mold, and the couch was so dirty I would not sit on it. Outlets and television did not work. Breakfast machine was broken but the rudeness of the morning desk person was most shameful.

Sleep Inn in Columbia, TN. This may be a good place to stay but they will not cancel your reservation, unless it is made 24 hrs in advance. if you happen to change your plans they are going to charge you for the room. 100.00 charged to my account and I didn’t stay there. That’s a lot of money for me, a retired person.

I learned the Econo Lodge in Rockport Texas has a sex offender working as a housekeeper I will not me letting my family members or my young teenagers are young girls stay there

A business partner and I shared a room (ours was one of the remodeled rooms upstairs - via stairs only - no elevator yet that I know of) at this Tonawanda Econo Lodge because it was close to where our meeting would be. We were impressed by how clean EVERYTHING  appeared. I know that (at least) Meena can take credit for that, as we met her - hard at work the morning we left (our stay was two nights). Amy, at the front desk,  looked & acted professional, which immediately added a sense of value to the place. She was truly helpful & friendly to us, even though we accidentally de-magnetized our room key (or whatever a cell phone can do to a key card :| ) more than once. The breakfast area was clean and the food was fresh (i.e. moist, tasty muffins; crispy apples; soft bagels; juice; coffee; waffle batter & griddle; etc....). I don't know whether it is family-operated or not, but I did get a sense that the employees feel comfortable with and appreciate Divya, who identified herself as the owner's wife. I would recommend this Econo Lodge to anyone looking for a restful stay in a well kept environment.

Do not stay at quality inn beloit Wisconsin! ! The management and general manager are very unprofessional and verbally abusive! Not only that, but they are thiefs as well!! The corporate choices does not care how any customer is treated! Do not stay at any of their locations!!

We stayed at the Clarion on Woodlawn Road, even though it was a little outdated The staff was wonderful and did everything to make us at home. Miss Kelly was more than kind and helpful I do recommend this hotel. All and all The ladies were the best.

dirty nasty tiled floors with dead flies all over floors, only one toilet plunger for a 60 unit hotel, didn't keep track of who had it, checked out with my Government benefits debit card, checked out after one day was charged $156.52 one night, advertised having a pool, but it was out of service 3 months prior to our arrival because of hurricane damage, they reversed my Gov't benefits debit card I used at check out, and charged my bank debit card I used to secure my reservation which caused over draft charges on my back account :( and management was unconcerned about the issues I was having, and myself worked in the hotel hospitality industry as a housekeeper and auditor for 25 yrs and very customer oriented 24/7 I had 17 customer service awards in my tonier and many corporate awards, never worked with anything like the Roadway Inn Pawsley Island South Carolina only thing positive I can stay was the Front Desk GSR's were very engaging with all who walked in the door :) one night stay cost me a total of $380 with cost of room, cost of my diabetic insulin, which had to cut my trip short because of housekeeping throughout my $100 vial of Insulin in the trash, and $90 charge of cutting my trip short loss of deposit of another night at another hotel because of not having my insulin that keeps me alive, I suggest that Choice Hotels doesn't convert this hotel into their reservations
