Tanglewood Resort on Lake Texoma, Pottsboro , Texas an Ascend Collection Resort is not a "resort". The rooms have old furniture and are musty. It is not located on the lake. It is near the lake. They have no room service, Their 2 restaurants are over priced and have odd hours. The small tower bar has paid "events" for nothing special and opens after 4:00 pm. This place is nothing more than a timeshare destination. The only thing they have that is nice is the huge indoor pool. Other amentities are pricy and far away - marina and horse back riding. The staff is not helpful either. We left and drove to Denison, Texas to eat at Red Lobster and McDonalds.

My spouse booked our weekend stay through Choice vs Comfort Suites directly as he thought he was doing. We had a bad experience ( our room and bed violated by staff member, at manager knowledge (yes violated our bed: wrecking our bed, pulling our blankets and sheets and taking our pillows! WHAT HAPPENED? ANSWER: During check in:9/5/26, after discrepancy with our room was being addressed, the clerk, upon us asking, allowed (okay'd) us to have extra pillows during our stay from orginal room that had fried rice and toenail clippings on carpeted floor, to another room, without carpet with no food and toenail clippings on floor!)) 9/6 we went for brunch, came back for a brief stop and we walked in to a wrecked room, our bed gone through and we looked around our room, there were the signs of violation. Immediately, when I comfronted the manager regarding this violation, she admitted that she was aware and blamed it on her clerk who was doing desk work! (Not right, nor fair, and, unflprofessional, not good leadership, especially as a manager) Then on top of our bad experience, we're having trouble getting our money back for checking out early. The manager of Comfort Suits of Twinsburg, Ohio on 9/6/26 refused to refund us and told us we must go through Choice to get our money back since we booked through them, because they would and will not. So basically, not only did Twinsburg Comfort Suits violated our privacy, (breaking contract), but in a sense stole our money, refusing to reimburse us upon our leaving early due to their violating our privacy. This is not defaming any one, but the truth. I promise, not threatening, but made promise, vowed, that if this matter was not rectified, reasonably, we will seek legal representation.

Choice Hotel The manager for Suburban Studio in Auburn Hills is making your name looks bad. My husband and I stayed at this Suburban Studios Auburn Hills location for three weeks without causing a single issue. On July 9, 2026, we were suddenly told to pack our bags and leave immediately because I had supposedly been placed on a "Do Not Rent" (DNR) list due to a night staff complaint. This accusation is completely impossible: I work nights from 6:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. I wasn't even on the property when these alleged incidents occurred! When we demanded an explanation or proof, nobody could give us a straight answer. The manager, Junior, claimed he would "look into it," yet they still forced us out on the spot with zero warning or a proper investigation. It was incredibly humiliating, stressful, and unprofessional. To make matters worse, the property itself is terrible: - Housekeeping is a joke: They do nothing but make the bed and swap towels. The rest of the cleaning is left up to you. - Filthy conditions: We saw roaches crawling up the walls, and the hallways constantly smell awful and are littered with trash and debris. - Safety concerns: There are always people loitering outside, and the police were regularly called to the property to evict people from the building for what the night staff were saying.  - Being blindsided and kicked out over an unverified, logically impossible lie after being paying guests for three weeks is unacceptable. Junior is completely incompetent as a manager. Even if they cleared my name and begged us to return, hell no. Save yourself the stress and stay anywhere else.

We had a party of 12 with 5 rooms booked at the Middlesburgh Ohio Comfort Inn. We are Choice Hotel members but haven't stayed in a while and decided to try again. After waiting half an hour to check in, One room reeked of cigarette smoke even though signs say 100% smoke free so we had to wait in line again. The second room had a broken hair dryer and a third room had NO HOT water!! Vinyl Floors in the hotel were so dirty our feet were sticking,carpets were old and trash cans overflowing, elevator buttons didn't light up, when we asked for fresh towels they only had one. Juice machine at breakfast was broken, coffee and syrup ran out. Only fruit was old apples. Lobby bathroom had broken door handles and locks. After trying to return to your brand our whole group was extremely disappointed With only a one person staff it was difficult to have issues resolved Extremely disappointed

Whenever a chain that I enjoy staying with is managed by choice hotels (like country inn) they are dumpy and questionable -especially considering what you’re paying. Frustrating that they are on the back end for the consumer… impossible to avoid! When I get a hotel that is significantly sub-standard to the chain I look and it’s always managed by choice hotels.

For starters, I appreciate them selling my phone number to spammers! Two to three calls a day of people trying to sell me vacation crap! The hotel I stayed at in Memphis, the pictures were way deceiving, it was a literal dive when I got there but the pictures online make it look brand new and refreshing! Then when I checked in they charged my card twice and just struck your shoulders like it might get fixed it might not. Like really, that's how you do customer service. The bed sheets were dirty, they were not cleaned by any means, there where literally stains on the sheets drink s or food or something. I just need to cancel my choice rewards and find a better place to stay

We rented two rooms in Vernon. The rooms were clean. The hot tub and pool were clean. The continental breakfast was also fine. The showers were terrible. The Temp goes form scalding hot to freezing cold in an instant. When I asked the front end lady about this she hadn't heard of this before from anyone else! I told her that our friends across the hall in 203 had the same issue. This happened again the next day in both rooms. I also heard other customers stopping by the front desk to complain about the same issue. To have the front desk person state to you that you are the only person seeing this issue is a an insult . At least they could tell the truth and state that we are have water pressure issues. Lying to your customers is not much of a way to promote return business!

On the hotel website, it shows a room from a different hotel. The room we were assigned didn't have a functioning toilet. Contents wouldn't go down after 7 flushes. We had to request/demand a different room with a working toilet. It wasn't offered to us. The room itself was in dis-repair. I have photos to show this. The pool hours were restrictive to paying customers enjoyment. The worst part of the stay was the toilet!!
