Booked a hotel stay with them in Walla Walla. Travelling with 2 dogs. Repeated several times with agent that I was travelling with to dogs and received confirmation that this is included with my reservation. Booked room and stayed two nights. Just received additional bill for $250 for not informing hotel I had pets. Called the hotel and the directed me to Choice Hotels. Choice Hotels apologized but basically said, "Sorry but not sorry" I am furious and will NEVER EVER use them again.

Double Charged with App
Last week I booked a room through App. Put on my debit card information in reservation. Upon check in they had me put card in reader. The charged in the app reservation and again on reader. I caught and the hotel tried to adjust and ended up charging 3 times. I contacted bank and hold times on hotels ridiculous and 6 business days to post from pending before you can dispute. I thought cleared with bank and charges went through again. This happened 2 other times with using the Choice App. Pretty sure many people have been charged double and don't know it. The manager at hotel said that it happened to someone else same day. Don't use the App not worth the points. Use Expedia as your card information never given. I'm sure a class action is on order. I'm sure it's happening a lot without customers catching it.

Choice hotel group is scam pure and…
Choice hotel group is scam pure and simple. Went through a travel company to book in a provided room block for a soccer tournament. Have done this numerous times with zero issues at other hotels. This is the first with Choice and will 100% be the last. I chose to pay in advance at the time of booking. The tournament ended up getting cancelled and even though it was still days more than the cancellation window, they do not refund money when you pay before the stay.

Foul Rotten Liars & Privacy Predators
opted out of choice membership and marketing when booked, but like vipers they baited and switched me at checkin. then they gave my personal information to a bogus call center who started hammering me with telemarketing during my workday,
i called, demanded they remove me, and demanded they contact the third parties and stop the idiocy. they said they would but you could tell they were lying.
the telemarketing from a foul outfit called cta in springfield missouri have been hitting for weeks so and they never answer their phone or provide an opt out and their privacy email bounces back... just that foul and rotten.
called to complain and was assured by agent and her supervisor that choice has no affiliation with cta and that i should go away. i told them that cta calls on behalf of choice, says so, you can read it robocall reporting sites, or even call the cta number and be told thank you for "calling cta on behalf of choice."
choice hotels lies to you up and down the line, they prey on your privacy like stalkers... do not EVER book with quality inn or any choice hotel. Foul. Foul & Rotten.

I don't mind starting this review with…
I don't mind starting this review with my full name. I am Preston Cooper. My son and I stayed at the Comfort Inn and Suites, 411 Road to Six Flags, Arlington, TX, from Sept 29 to Oct 1, 2023. One of the nights we were there, we returned from dinner, and we smelled smoke in the room. I immediately called the front desk. They said other rooms on our floor had also reported smelling smoke. They said they assumed someone had smoked in the hall and the fumes wafted into the rooms. They said I had “nothing to worry about,” as far as being charged a smoke cleanup fee. When I checked out Oct 1, I requested a copy of my bill, which I always do. It was all correct. When I got my Choice Privileges credit card statement at the END of October, I noticed they had added a charge for $250. for smoke cleanup. I immediately tried to call the motel, and was put in hold three times, and each time I was hung up on. I then called Choice Privileges Customer Service, as well as C P Mastercard (the card i paid for our stay with) to report what had happened. Both offices told me they would file a complaint for me, and they felt certain the property would remove the $250. charge. I had to call back several times, kept getting put off, and at some point in December, someone told me from Choice Privileges OR the C P Mastercard that the charge was being dropped (and I wish I had written down that person's name). So I thought that was the end of it. However, on April 1 (!!) I got a letter that the $250 charge had been reinstated. I later found out that each time I had called C P offices and C P Mastercard back in the fall, they had filed a complaint with the motel, and each time it was the property that denied it. I also found out that when they didn’t communicate with me that the $250 had been charged in the beginning, that was actually breaking the credit card agreement.
i have complained through several entities, including emailing that Comfort Inn and Suites. The property has never acknowledged me or responded to me. For years i have been a Choice Priviliges member (presently Gold level), as well as a C P Mastercard holder. I am shocked at the disregard this motel has shown me. This was a totally wrong and bogus charge.

MISLEADING ADVERTISING andFRAUDULENT CC WITHDRAWALS. Choice Hotel‘s advertising (and in the…
Choice Hotel‘s advertising (and in the US it‘s prime time) is misleading and inaccurate. They promise a free night after two stays. We stayed 4 nights at different hotels on a 2000 mile roadtrip and are still not eligible. The hotels themselves were, to say the least, disappointing. Promised amenities like swimming pools were not available and a hot breakfast was, in Rawlins, a slice (one) of toast.I feel the Rawlins Hotel was actually a front. The woman who checked us in spoke little English and was more interested in ‚selling‘ Apple goods to two men in the lobby. Having taken my credit card. I was charged twice, but the receipt on the Choice website said we were a no show. I am still trying to get my money back and as for my free night………..!

Not a good 'Choice' hotels
I stayed at a 'choice' hotel (Quality Inn Union City GA) for one night and when I got there they required a 100$ deposit so I paid it and was told it would be returned when checking out. At checkout again I was told it would be returned. A couple of days later it was still showing on my credit card so I called and was told it would take a few days for it to be returned. So this wasn't a hold, it was an actual charge; which out of all the hotels I have ever stayed at (which is a LOT) this was never done but I wasn't too concerned because I was told it would be returned. Unfortunately, I forgot to keep an eye on this and it was never returned as promised multiple times. I only realized this when I was doing my taxes. So I called and now they are saying there is a note about smoking and that's why it wasn't returned. I don't smoke and absolutely no one smoked in the room. After checking reviews for the hotel there are many people saying the hotel kept their 100$ deposit. I contacted Choice hotels and they refused to help at all because the hotels are 'franchised'. Do yourself a favor and stay at a reputable hotel company because there are lots of them and also be sure to check reviews before booking to save yourself from becoming a victim of unscrupulous dishonest hotel companies that do not provide any customer service or protection to customers. Funny enough when I called choice hotels I was transferred to Blue Green vacations for a special deal after the call. Well look at the reviews for Blue Green corp at consumeraffairs which is a timeshare company. 91% 1 star (out of 912 reviews) and the burst of 5 star reviews are comical because it's so obvious they appear completely fabricated. Many of these reviews mentioned being sent there by Choice hotels. So it appears that Choice hotels is not only dishonest (or allows their hotels to be) but they associate with or own other apparently dishonest companies as well. Do yourself a favor and stay far away. If you do stay and are charged a deposit, make sure you keep checking that it is returned because clearly they have no problem keeping your deposit even after they say it will be returned and Choice hotels will offer absolutely no help. Even if you realize they didn't return your deposit shortly after your stay you can probably expect a fight to try and get it back. I told them this reflects on the entire company and brands and they were not concerned about that either so if I can save some people from being taken advantage of by posting reviews then it's worth it. Maybe after enough word of mouth this company will start to care about the bad reviews, reputation, and losing customers.
I suppose, like me, they hope you will forget to check and if you do figure it out later there will be some fabricated 'reason' to keep your deposit.

Crap HOTEL
This hotel is false. It’s all a lie everything they say that they give you for free rather be a free night or a free gift card. It’s all bogus. It’s not true. Trust me find another hotel to stay in.
