Worst hotel company I have ever had the displeasure of staying at, absolutely filthy rooms, worst customer service ever, staff are very ignorant and rude, the entire hotel smells terrible, the walls and carpets are covered in filth, bedsheets weren't washed, the windows were broken, someone's van was stolen from the from the supposedly secure car park and the staff didn't care because it's likely they were.involved, other review sites show more than 20 vans have been stolen from their car park in the last 5 years which is very suspect, quite obvious the staff were involved.

This company gave me false informations , held crucial information from me, tried to charge me hidden fees when the representative didn't inform me. They try to get you to stay at a time share after booking and that was such a disaster for us, the whole experience for finding a hotel to stay at and then they wanted to charge a fee of ocer 200$ American dollars. I WOULD AVOID THEM AT ALL COST! Even their own reps say they are a scam after speaking to a receptionist at one of the hotels I stayed at. I wanted a recording of my conversations one manager said he will send it to my emaik and than when i called back to see why i havent recieved them anotber one stated they don't give out recordings.

I’d prefer to give no stars but that’s not an option. On Monday I booked a room in Nova Scotia at the Inn on the lake for end of June to 4th of July. I thought I was booking on the Inn on the lake website but it actually took me to the choice hotel website. Needless to say I booked my room. When I got my email it said my total charge would be $1333.10 for my total stay. This booking was cheaper if u booked and paid now. So I booked it. Being a senior I just assumed this was the Inn on the lake website. (Needles to say I was wrong) The actual website was for Choice hotels. When I checked my banking the total bill for my stay wasn’t $1333.10 but in fact I was charged $11.05 more for a total of $1344.15. I contacted the Inn on the lake hotel direct line. They were very apologetic and said they’d get back to me. When they did get back to me they said that Choice hotels should have actually charged me 3% booking fee but had in fact charged me at 2% booking fee. So when the Inn on the lake called me back they said there was nothing they could do. I wasn’t happy with this answer so I called Choice hotels directly. They stated that when the email is sent to the person booking the hotel the email stated that this fees and taxes are just an estimate. I think this is very bad business. I told the lady at costumer service that they should not be sending any email out until the correct amount for fees and taxes is exact. I paid my bill and I’m being told that I’ve got to suck up the difference of $11.05!!! This really isn’t sitting right with me. So of the fees and taxes were for example $300 more then an I supposed just “suck up that extra fee”??? I don’t think this is very good customer service. I told the lady at the Choice hotel customer service to cancel my membership and that I’d be taking anyone and everyone that she should never ever book through this company. They are a very dishonest company who charge what they want and the customer is supposed suck up the fee no matter what the extra fees and taxes are. I’m so angry and will NEVER EVER book with Choice hotels again. I even went so far as to tell the customer service lady at Choice hotels to cancel my membership. And that I’d like an email stating that it was done. And I’m still waiting for this said email to arrive. Still nothing after a couple of hours waiting. This is just a warning to everyone who books with this terrible company. They really don’t care about customer service. Their bottom line is the all mighty dollar. And I promise I’ll never go back to this company.

I have been a customer for many years but never applied for their Choice Privileges Master Card (Wells Fargo). There was a advertisement incentive to apply for the card to get $100 back while I was doing the current reservation. That did not happen. I finally got the email confirmation 3 days later after I called them. The card would not arrive via mail before my weekend stay so I won't get credit for the stay because I won't have the CC to use it during check in. The suggested advertisement seemed to make you think you was going to get the $100 credit on the current reservation you are making. I reserved the room with another CC and called them to try to get the CC information so I can use it when I check in but they couldn't provide that on the phone call.

their promotions are scams. The current one "stay 2 nights and get a 3rd for free". They refuse to credit points for 72 hours after the second stay -- when most people are back home. The limited promotion ensures no one will collect. We fell for this scam and want to warn others.

Everything was wrong with this hotel. Management can’t give a darn. I attempted to stay in Lafayette Indiana, for a memorial service scheduled for the next morning, just this past week. The first room was a king size bed for my daughter and myself. Which should’ve been (2) queen size. The room smelled like my X husband, filled with nasty cigarette smoke, filthy, trash in corners, carpet completely worn out. Mole everywhere from the pool, sauna area. Which could’ve been very nice if it had been taken care of. We then checked a second room with (2) queen beds. We were tried and frozen from our long drive. We put on the heating unit and smelled the heat; the next thing I knew the room was freezing. That’s what broke the camel back. I put clothes on top of my PJ’s and my coat and checked out with a full refund. Some of the things that were wrong could have been repaired very easily. With a few handy folks. A couple heating Man. I wouldn’t recommend anyone stay there to be frustrated like we were.

The employee tia at customer service in Greensboro NC she was very nice and kind and every time I go she helped me with the check in and checking out and answer all my questions. She’s great and friendly employee.

Not only are their hotels quite dismal, but the people who are employed by them are just downright nasty. I have stayed at this particular hotel several times since it is near a relative's home. I was asked to leave feedback and when I gave my honest opinion, I was told it wasn't up to their standards! Lol, well neither are their hotels. Be discerning folks and choose another brand. There are many hotels out there who will be glad to accommodate you, and TREAT you with RESPECT. I will pay more in the future to get respectful treatment.
