I’m a first-time Chewy Plus member, and every time I’ve called customer service, they’ve been extremely helpful and kind. I noticed their website was offering the annual membership for $59, so I called to ask why it was cheaper when I had just signed up and said I owed $79 on the app because my 30 days trial was up. The representative offered to adjust my membership to the $59 price and made the whole process easy. I never felt awkward about it, which I really appreciated! Every experience I’ve had with their customer service so far has been wonderful.

I Longtime Customer Lost After a Year of Prescription Problems — Enough Is Enough!**have been a loyal Chewy customer for…
I have been a loyal Chewy customer for years, but after approximately a year of ongoing problems with Chewy Pharmacy, I have finally reached my breaking point. I will no longer be ordering from Chewy.
I have two dogs who each require one NexGard Plus tablet every month. For the past year, Chewy Pharmacy has repeatedly processed orders for two tablets under one dog's name instead of one tablet for each dog. This creates ongoing prescription problems, delays, and unnecessary phone calls between Chewy, my veterinarian, and myself.
My most recent experience was the final straw.
When I attempted to place my order online, I couldn't figure out how to order correctly for both dogs because of how previous orders had been handled. I called Chewy for assistance, and the representative explained that I couldn't order both tablets under one dog. They canceled my original order, placed one tablet in my cart for each dog, and instructed me to submit a new order, which I did Friday morning.
The order then sat waiting for veterinary approval. I had already spoken with my veterinarian, who was waiting to hear from Chewy. By Monday morning, nothing had progressed. I contacted my vet again, only to learn they had received nothing from Chewy. My veterinarian then contacted Chewy directly, and only afterward did I receive a shipment notification.
Today, my package finally arrived. I opened it to find **one tablet for one dog and nothing for my second dog!**
I immediately called Chewy again and was assured that the missing tablet would be sent. However, when I checked my email afterward, the new order information once again showed the tablet being processed under the name of the dog who had already received medication!
**How many times should a customer have to call to get a simple recurring prescription order handled correctly?**
Every time there's a problem, I seem to get caught between Chewy and my veterinarian, with each pointing the finger at the other. Meanwhile, I'm the one spending my time making phone calls, correcting orders, and worrying about getting my dogs their medications on schedule.
After years of being a Chewy customer, I never imagined that something as simple as ordering monthly prescriptions for two dogs would become such an ongoing headache.
**I have completely lost confidence in Chewy Pharmacy's ability to handle my dogs' prescriptions accurately. After years of loyalty, Chewy has lost my business. Enough is enough!**

Five Stars Just Aren't Enough
Five Stars Just Aren't Enough! Truly. 🐾
There are companies that provide great customer service, and then there's Chewy.
I recently lost my boy, Jimmy Chew. It was unexpected. Today, I received the most thoughtful delivery from Chewy. Three yellow roses in a glass vase, with a heartfelt message honoring Jimmy.
Chewy didn't have to do this. There was no purchase involved, no obligation, and nothing to gain. Just genuine kindness and compassion during an incredibly difficult time.
In a world where so many businesses focus on the bottom line, Chewy reminded me that there are still companies that genuinely care about the people and pets behind the orders.
To the wonderful, incredible people at Chewy... thank you for acknowledging my loss and remembering my sweet boy. You've earned far more than my loyalty as a customer. You've earned my heartfelt respect and gratitude.
With a grateful but very broken heart, Jimmy Chew's Mom 💛

I have shopped with Chewy for over 10…
I have shopped with Chewy for over 10 years and have never had a bad experience. Once I received a shipment where the package was clearly damaged by the shipper. I sent Chewy a photo just for their information. Two days later I received a replacement shipment of everything in the order. I have found the shipping timely and prices reasonable. I cancelled an Autoship Friday as my cat died. Today I received flowers and a note from Chewy. I cannot imagine how rare this must be for corporations.
Well done Chewy!!♥️

I've been buying from Chewy for years…
I've been buying from Chewy for years now and I think they're great. The delivery is super fast - maybe I live near a distribution center, I don't know. But it's fast. A few weeks ago a package was taken from my porch. I reported it to Chewy and my package was replaced at no extra cost. They have a great variety of stuff. I've had senior cats and now a kitten. I can find stuff here that I can't at the store. I don't know what to yell, you; I think they're great.

Do not order from Chewy
Do not order from Chewy. They need to be held accountable for how they treat customers and their pets.
I ordered a prescription last weekend, and every single day since, I’ve had to contact them to find out what was happening. Instead of actually resolving the issue, they kept making excuses and lying. The irony is that every single representative starts the conversation asking, "How's your pet?" as if they actually care. They should really start by asking, "Did you pay for your order already?" because once they have your money, the care ends.
They repeatedly claimed they were calling my vet and that the vet wasn't responding. When I called my vet directly, I found out Chewy was lying—they hadn't called at all. The vet also confirmed that Chewy could have simply requested the prescription via fax, which they never bothered to do.
After all this runaround, they finally got the approval on Friday. But today, they informed me that it might ship tomorrow, and after that, it will take another 3+ days to arrive. When I expressed frustration, their suggestion was for me to go buy a small supply elsewhere in the meantime—knowing full well how difficult that is to do with prescription items, and expecting me to spend even more money out-of-pocket to cover for their own lack of ethics and efficiency.
This isn't even the first issue I’ve had with them; they’ve also sent me questionable food in the past. They are unreliable and irresponsible when it comes to pet health. Save yourself the headache and do not order from them.

Delivery Times Unreliable
Their delivery time for orders are unreliable. Only today, Sunday, Oct 18, 2026, I get an email telling me my order is out for delivery and I should receive today and on their website it says the same. But if you go over to FedEx website says it says it has your shipment but it will be delivered tomorrow, Oct 19, 2026. I don't know what service Chewy is paying for but they are not getting their money's worth.
Typically Chewy orders arrive quickly but just do not wait until you are almost out of pet food because that is when FedEx Home will delay your order. And the longer your shipment is in their care the more likely it is to be damaged. FedEx cannot blame the weather as it is a sunny and mild day here.

Damages and por packaging
I'll stick with ordering directly from the vendors or other third parties that truly understand logistics.
I ordered my terrarium from them and it was a bit dented but overall okay so I decided to keep and not go through the back and forth of replacing since I had already opened and assembled it.
I also ordered sand for my terrarium and the first time, one out of the four bags arrived damaged. They just place all the 10lbs bags in one box without any sort of filling or protection from moving within the box and hope for the best. I informed them of the damaged bag and received a replacement for that bag fairly quick.
Then I decided to order 5 more bags. The package never arrived. When it showed out for delivery, it quickly got updated to damaged in transit and was returned directly. I spoke with customer service and informed them about this and about their packaging issues, to which they replied "I also understand your concern about how the replacement will be packaged. While I can't guarantee specific packaging arrangements, your experience with repeated transit damage is important, and we want to do everything we reasonably can to help prevent this from happening again."
This was a brush off to my very reasonable concern. I get a replacement set up and again have the same issue of it being marked out for delivery, only for it to change to damaged in transit.
They do not seem to care about the protection of the products one purchases through their app/website and obviously do not take into consideration the feedback regarding packaging or in this case lack of. Very disappointing experience overall.
