My family wanted to see a Saturday 6pm MLB game and we live 5 hours away from the venue. So at 8am Saturday after looking at three ticket sights, two of which deal directly with the ticket holder to resell their tickets, I decided to try Cheap tickets since I liked the seat location they had listed. It was also an E-ticket which is listed as available for immediate download. I then bought the tickets and prepared to download the tickets. The other two companies I have used, always have e-tickets ready to down load in less than 5 minutes. I then waited 5, 10, 20, 30 then 60 minutes and the tickets had still not been made available for download. At the point I called the customer service number on their site and get a recording. Then I call MasterCard to see if the transaction has gone through and it has not and they give me another customer service number which I called and got a live person. I took his name and ID number, he also tells me the transaction did not go through. At that point we were planning on leaving at 9am but could not since the tickets were not yet available. We then decide we could leave at no later than 10am and still get to the game on time. Would you agree that waiting 2 hours for instant download tickets to be available for download is way past the point of being reasonable? Two hours later at 10am the tickets were still not available and I have to believe the transaction did not go through as I was told by a Cheap Tickets service agent and it's time to leave. I then get on a competing site, purchase tickets and have them downloaded in less than 4 minutes and now we have salvaged our game day. Then 2 hours and 30 minutes later we are on the road to our game I get an email saying the tickets are available to down load! What a joke! Terrible business! 1. They don't disclose that they cant deliver tickets in a reasonable timely manner. I would say the industry standard is 10 minutes... 2. They don't make customer service readily available and don't honor what their agents say. 3. They don't directly control the product, and a business model like this will never be as reliable as those that do. Don't be the next person they Rip Off!, STAY AWAY....

I've been using this site for years and years, and finally they broke me. I planned a trip to London from the States for fun. It turns out that my company wants me to stay overseas, so I'll be flying elsewhere rather than using my tickets to return home at the end of my London trip. I called to see what could be worked out; a partial refund or even a partial credit? Unfortunately, the airline can't do anything as the tickets are under contract with Cheaptickets. I called Cheaptickets, and they said there is absolutely nothing available for refund or credit. Zilch. I didn't want to make a change (which was $400, even for one day later, FYI, I was curious), I just wanted options if I were not to use the tickets AT ALL. Nope. Sorry. Nothing at all. We're keeping your money, you're hosed. I understand the airline industry is busy, and demanding, and chaotic, but this genuinely seems like thievery. I'm appalled and tremendously disappointed with them for keeping money paid for services unrendered. I'm done doing business with them. I'll go through the airlines or work going forward. Don't use them unless you've got money to burn and your life never veers off course.

It is unfortunate that there are many unscrupulous companies in our world. People need to be warned about them. I purchased a ticket from Cheaptickets.com for a customer to go to the Masters Tournament. He was flying from Ireland to Atlanta via New York. The ticket was purchased several months in advance of the tournament. For some reason, the airlines and/or Cheaptickets.com changed the itinerary unilaterally three times, making it impossible to see the tournament as scheduled. I was forced to cancel this ticket and purchase another on American Airlines, which was easy, and accurate...no changes in schedule. i called Cheaptickets.com to get a refund which I should have been entitled to, but was denied. Then I asked that I get the ticket name changed from my customer in Ireland, to mine, and was denied. So, what should have been an easy switch by Cheaptickets.com and/or Delta, turned into a money grab. The customer service process (to be denied) took about 1-1/2 hours on the phone. I asked for a supervisor who never came to the phone. Finally, I had to hang up or it would have taken much longer. These type of discount websites are prevalent on the internet, and I will never use this one again. At least with the others, you have a decent chance for fair resolution. Maybe the incredibly poor customer service, and lack of desire or effort to resolve disputes fairly is Cheaptickets.com's method for establishing another profit center for their company.

I bought two tickets for my Mother and sister. They quoted us $3576. I assumed that this was in Australian Dollars, as the website appeared on google. They did not mentioned any other currency.I then gave them my credit card details. When I checked my credit card statement, I found out that they took $4897. Their explanation was that the quoted price was in US$. I asked them to show me where the US$ was mentioned, I needed special knowledge and to go from one page to another and read very small words, written in light grey and hardly readable. When I asked to refund the tickets, they stated that they are none refundable because we were one hour late (it took us more than 24 hours), knowing that they took the money from my account only 5 hours before I called. They were not helpful at all. I firstly spoke to their salesman, whose name was Darren, then he referred me to his supervisor by the name of Mary Jane. They both did not solve the issue and they were not willing to.solve it. I have dealt with many companies and never had any problems. This company is not the best. They are called Cheap tickets but I would name them Dearest Tickets and thieves. BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE. Do not hand them your credit card. They will overcharge you and will steel your money. I have already lodged a claim with the USA flight associations and with my bank, but I feel that everyone needs to know about them to be careful.

Cheapticket is the worse crucky flightbureua I have used. In January, 10 month ago I ordered a flightticket to my girlfriend in Swiss. "Cheap"ticket never issued the ticket to her because the creditholder (me) was not the same as the person on ticket. "Cheap"ticket took the money from my creditcard and allthough I have emailed them 5-6 times and my girlfriend have tried to call them on their phoneline costing 0,67 Euro/min, they still not returned the around 800 euro for the flight they never issued. I doubt I will ever get back my money, which means "Cheap"ticket are thiefs, who steals trustful people money. One person has written "I smell fraud". I am sorry to tell you but it is not only a smell, it is reality.

I like many others search the internet for good value travel and came across the Cheap Tickets site (Southall Travel Ltd) which seemed to offer good value. Travelling from London to CapeTown I was looking at prices on the main stream sites of in the region of £800.00. Cheap Tickets were advertising limited availability tickets at a significant reduction. Before proceeding with any purchase of any monetary significance online I always search for review sites to gauge the likelihood of potential problems, after all no one likes to be conned or lose money. I have to admit at being shocked at the number of significantly negative and vitriolic reviews left about this company - there were so many they actually had the reverse effect and I thought I would give them a call to find out for myself. I got through to a chap called Troy who was extremely helpful and after about 5 minutes came up with a ticket suggestion travelling on a top notch airline (Emirates) for the exact dates and times I was seeking at an inclusive cost of £628.95 - some 20%+ cheaper than the advertised price on Emirates booking site - a really good deal - if it wasn't a con.. Reflecting on the number of negative reviews but noting that the Company was ABTA registered I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt hoping - having been aware of all the dire warnings on this review site that I wouldn't be left red faced if the negative reviews ended up right! This is what happened; Troy took all my details including debit card details and I received a formal quote via email whilst i was on the phone. I was asked to check all the details and email back confirming the details were correct. I did that at 1.00pm 30th September again whilst still on the phone. Troy advised I would have the 'e ticket' and payment receipt by email the next day followed by the original in the post a few days later. True to his word at 1.29pm on the 1st October the email arrived with my invoice receipt and e tickets for my flights issued at the quoted price - fantastic! My experience therefore is totally the opposite to the large number of respondents to this site and it made me feel that Cheap Tickets are being given a rough time by a lot of people for reasons I find difficult to comprehend. After all, they are a ticket selling service and after they have down their bit it's down to the airline and your own position / situation if problems arise. I have found cheap tickets great and will happily use them again and recommend them to anyone. It is a sorry case indeed that there are so many mean spirited vitriolic persons about that rage against a simple ticket seller when in all likelihood they are themselves the architects of their own misfortune - not cheap tickets. I saved about £170.00 on my ticket purchase, not sure of course that you will achieve the same level of savings but my message simply is don't be put off by the scaremongering, negativity or the outright crassness of a lot of these reviewers here - give the likes of Troy and his colleagues at Cheap Tickets a chance!

I had return flights, and wanted to change them to a later date due to work commitment changes. I applied using their online application (which was fantastically simple) and they immediately sent me a confirmation e-mail saying 'we will respond within 24 hours'. I followed all their criteria giving them at least 5 days before my flights etc to look for alternative flights. Here is the problem... ABSOLUTELY NOTHING HAPPENED until the day before my flight (5 days after I wrote to them to request the changes where they OFFERED ME ALTERNATIVE FLIGHTS but clearly stated that the prices were not guaranteed by the AIRLINE and they were not responsible for this or the changes and they would BILL ME after I agree to these charges - which I do not yet know). So basically they quoted me a reasonable price for the changes (too late for me to organize) and then told me that these prices could change and I would be automatically charged whatever the Airline want to charge me (if different). This of course IS THE SCAM they pull time and time again with us... the unsuspecting public. This, and the long ineffective phone calls you need to make to them to change flights if you call them directly are how they make most of their money with massive payoffs from the phone companies with premium numbers you are dialing. Also note, that your chance of resolution on the phone is practically ZERO with Customer Services (a joke name in CHEAPTICKETS) hanging up on you, and also sometimes laughing at your frustrated complaints. They are not a company with any scruples or credibility and DO NOT HAVE ANY CUSTOMER'S PEACE OF MIND ON THEIR AGENDA... only income generation/profit making. Please tell friends and colleagues NEVER to use CHEAPTICKETS as they are deliberately designed to frustrate to maximize profits from us, who simply want to go on Holidays or do business. OK OK OK Cheaptickets, enough BS and excuses, You are doing the same nonense to all of us here who are complaining about you......trying to do the PR exercise. FOLKS !!This BLOG is not a forum for you CHEAPTICKETS to 'Grandstand' and show how much you 'want to help; and how much you CARE ABOUT US (so sweet) !!!! This is about us WARNING other potential VICTIMS of your lies,deception and absolute disregard for people who use your company so tht they TOO will not be out of pocket financially or become frustrated by your lack of help that they are driven to write here in the first place. We 'waste' our time writing here becasue we actually care about PEOPLE and them becoming victims of your elaborate SCAM to secore OUR money for you to enjoy. CHEAPTICKETS.COM please stop sending your staff to pretend you care and stop patronising us. We work hard for our money and travel all over this Globe and are not STUPID people. You have ZERO right to steal our money by using ANY means, even if you justify it (which is a big lie) that it is 'The Airlines Fault' like BART SIMPSON would say and tell us that its out of your control. You deliberately DO NOT RESPOND until the last minute so you can extort huge additional funds from desperate CLIENTS who NEED to change flights, and also you make HUGE money from your deals with the phone companies when we CALL YOU in our thousands to FIX the problems and get little success from your staff. STOP bothering us here again with a pretence that you want to help and ACCEPT You have been caught !!! CHEAPTICKETS.COM Staff , go get a better jobs where you dont have to lie to thousands of people who just want HONESTY and understanding when they have problems, and do us a favor, and stop also making up HR/PR staff names to sooth the irate masses. We know they are fake.

This company is the worst travel agent I've ever dealt with. I just got off the phone with them. I was transferred between 5 different agents for them to tell me that I'll never see a cent of my money. The manager "Kate" was indeed very useless because she just apologizing as to how I'm never going to see my $407 ever again. I was only expected to see $132.00 of the $407 because of all the fees they charge to cancel and rebook. Huhhh? I thought I already cancelled the flight in the first place. I read others post before I posted; I mean my loss is not compared to others $2,000 or more spent on tickets for family members. Better yet, ruining a kid's first trip to NYC is unbelievable. I'll NEVER recommend this company to my family and friends, EVEN MY ENEMIES!!!!! These people need to be put out of business. Better Business Bureau needs to step in.
