My account was hacked, and a car was charged €47 at my expense in London. There's no way to block the card and account from further unauthorized access. I only managed to reach support on the fourth call. They don't respond to emails at all. Because the account requires prepayment, the amount was debited without any problems. The only way to stop Chargepoint was to block the underlying credit card: Stay away from Chargepoint!!

Wir wurden leider ebenfalls Opfer eines unberechtigten Abbuchungsvorgangs über ChargePoint. Von unserem Konto wurden rund 150 € für Ladevorgänge in London abgebucht, obwohl wir uns dort nie aufgehalten haben und die Transaktionen nicht autorisiert wurden. Besonders schockiert bin ich über die zahlreichen ähnlichen Berichte hier auf Trustpilot. Offenbar sind wir kein Einzelfall. Wenn man die Bewertungen liest, entsteht der Eindruck, dass es seit längerer Zeit ein Sicherheitsproblem gibt, bei dem Konten oder Zahlungsdaten missbraucht werden und die betrügerischen Abbuchungen häufig in London stattfinden. Noch unverständlicher ist für mich, dass man die hinterlegten Zahlungsdaten nicht einfach selbstständig in der App löschen kann. Gerade nach einem Sicherheitsvorfall sollte dies jederzeit möglich sein. Der Kundenservice ist ebenfalls enttäuschend. Telefonisch war niemand erreichbar, und Anrufe wurden teilweise einfach beendet, ohne dass eine Lösung angeboten wurde. In einer Situation, in der unberechtigte Abbuchungen erfolgen, erwartet man deutlich mehr Unterstützung und Transparenz. Ich hoffe, dass ChargePoint die Sicherheitsprobleme endlich ernst nimmt, die betroffenen Kunden entschädigt und die Möglichkeit schafft, Zahlungsdaten jederzeit selbst zu entfernen.

I needed to charge and was at the chargepoint station i needed to change my payment. I tried 3 times and it didnt take. Tried again and still didn't then I got locked out of the system. It said try again after 30 minutes so I called and was told sorry can't help you call us back in an hour. Sorry not using this company again.

Ich habe nun mehrfach versucht, mittels authentifizierter Kreditkarte zu laden. Das einzige, was bisher reibungslos geklappt hat, waren die Abbuchungen mit dem Hinweis in der App: "Wir wissen nicht ob Ihr Kontostand ausreichen für diesen Ladevorgang ist." App und Konto wieder gelöscht und Geld zum Fenster hinausgeworfen.

Been waiting for simple mandatory documentation (a credit note) for months, and despite being promised it during the refund process, and having a ticket raised since there's just no action despite repeatedly chasing and being assured it's "been escalated with the highest priority". Today got advised, despite having an open ticket, that I need to email separately making a request (why the ticket system then?) only to get an auto-reply from the email address given saying the inbox wasn't monitored and to raise a support case online. They seem to be clueless about their own systems, internal processes and refused to let me open a complaint or get any escalation of the matter. Next step will be a compliance report to HMRC.

[Update] Your support email is deactivated. How can I contact you? ChargePoint replied to my review asking for my account details to "expedite" the £50 refund that has been delayed for 9 months. However, when I tried to send the details, I found out that your support email account has been deactivated. You tell customers to reach out to you on a public platform for image management, but you have blocked the actual communication channels. This is completely ridiculous and hypocritical. I am leaving my existing Case Number here: 15287280. Your team already has all my details and previously confirmed this unauthorized charge from the security incident 9 months ago. Stop playing media games and look up Case #15287280 right now to process my £50 refund immediately. I am not going to waste any more time trying to find a way to contact a company that intentionally hides from its customers.
