For each transaction they apply a £50 preauthorisation charge. This charge can take up to a week to disappear from your account. Be cautious about using this repeatedly if funds are low. They will also tell you your bank is the one that is fault, which is not the case. They have simply failed to claim the transaction, presumably to artificially increase their balance sheets at any given time.

C'est franchement pas génial ils envoient des emails, on n'y comprend rien ils clôtures les comptes pros/persos ils vous plantent au pied d'une borne de recharge ils vous font attendre au téléphone ils vous disent qu'ils ne vous retrouvent pas ils vous confirment qu'ils ne peuvent rien faire pour vous ils vous disent, on est désolé, c'est la mise à jour ... Non ce sont vos informaticiens stagiaires et votre directeur informatiques qui sont de grosses brêles Ils vous plantent au pied de la borne Après longtime. Vous les rappeller ... ils vous font attendre au téléphone ils vous disent qu'ils ne vous retrouvent pas ils vous confirment qu'ils ne peuvent rien faire pour vous ils vous disent, on est désolé, c'est la mise à jour ... ??? on en a déjà parlé non ??? et paf re...ils vous raccrochent au nez seuls points positifs, les prix de recharge chez lidl, mais cela va changer ??? et ils vous remboursent , c'est la moindre de choses.

ChargePoint needs technical work, customer service cannot be outsourced, their laughing at your customers and do not listen to understand. The $50 holds doesn’t work, a prepaid system would better, I feel robbed if there are technical issues with your stations but I’m charged. Hate this service you provide, it’s not clear!

My charger stopped working mid-charge at my house I worked with them to diagnose the issue for over two and a half hours. At the end of the day they said it was broken it was out of warranty and there was nothing they could do for me at all after being a customer for 5 years. I will not be buying a chargepoint charger ever again there are many many options on the market that are better than them. Do not buy do not use chargepoint.

The two stars are for the fact that I did actually manage to charge my car at one of their chargers. However, my experience is indicative of the whole EV charging structure in the UK - too expensive ( and this was the lower end at 60p per KWH), yet another app and lastly and worse that any other app, they take a deposit and then retain that (£10). I them tried to get the £10 back by charging again up to £10, but they then took another £10. I then emailed them for a refund which has not yet happened. I have now deleted my account, hoping that will generate the refund. Avoid unless you are desperate.

I used ChargePoint for the first time and couldn’t get it to work due to no verification code being received ( tried 3 times) Then I couldn’t release the cable from the charge point. Then I rang the customer service people who tried and successfully released the cable. By the time I got home I had a message from the Bank to say did you authorise £50 to be released. As it was the first time I used this machine, I had no idea that they or the bank held £50 just in case even though I never charged the car. The Bank then unblocked the card and I rang ChargePoint and explain the situation. They were not able to tell me why my verification code has not been received even though the email was correct.  They then said try later but that’s no good when you’re trying to charge your car and you need the juice. Let me make it clear the service that I received talking to human beings was very good and they tried but I think the ChargePoint system is just fundamentally poor.. it’s no Tesla. I’ve now deleted the app and we will not be using them again

Chargepoint bucht beim ersten Ladevorgang grundsätzlich die Kosten des Ladevorgangs plus 10 € ab. Diese 10 € sind als Guthaben für die nächsten Ladevorgänge vorgesehen. Für jemanden, der sehr regelmäßig bei ChargePoint lädt, mag das o.k. sein, in anbetracht der wenigen Ladesäulen von ChargePoint dürfte das jedoch nur auf wenige Leute zutreffen. Das Konzept halte ich daher für unseriös und ich wüsste auch nicht, dass ein anderer Anbieter das auch macht. Die ChargePoint-Karte bei anderen Ladesäulen einzusetzten ist nicht sinnvoll, da es immer teuerer ist, nicht direkt beim Anbieter zu bezahlen. Ist ja auch kein Problem heutzutage, habe ich halt die Apps von den 5 größten Anbietern aufm Smartphone. Zwei Sterne, weil ich heute immerhin vom Support die Zusage bekommen habe, dass ich das Guthaben zurückgebucht bekommen. Aber, wenn ich nochmal bei Chargepoint lade, dann geht das ganze wieder von vorne los. Also bleibt mein Konto dort nur für den Notfall aktiviert...

Leider habe ich keine guten Erfahrungen gemacht. Nach dem registrieren einer neuen Kreditkarte, war ein Laden leider nicht mehr möglich. Paypal als Zahlungsmittel wurde erst garnicht angezeigt obwohl es eigentlich verfügbar sein sollte. Jeglicher Kontakt führte zu keiner Lösung. Daraufhin habe ich mein Konto gelöscht und wollte es mit einer neuen Registrierung versuchen. Leider nicht möglich weil E-Mail und Telefonnummer bereits für ein anderes Konto genutzt werden. Sehr schade, da mein Arbeitgeber ChargePoint Ladestationen anbietet.
