Certapet offered great service and matched me with a therapist who was competent, empathic and went the extra mile for me (Deborah Levine, LCSW). My apartment manager went to a level that eventually qualified as harassment and Certapet and Deborah stood by me, following up through the entire ordeal. I ended up having to file a complaint with the Housing Rights Center at the advice of Certapet. Thanks to my ESA paperwork and therapist being completely in order and complying with every law, the matter seems to finally be settled. I am very grateful for all those that helped and advised me at Certapet and for matching me with therapist Deborah Levine, LCSW who I cannot say enough good things about. I've seen my share of therapists in the past and she is skilled, genuine and gifted. I would recommend her to anyone seeking therapy as someone who I'd trust to help you heal and not just watch the clock. Thank you, Deborah!

Sharing the email I sent to CertaPet's VP of Customer Experience today. I’m writing you as a long-time (3-year) repeat customer – that is finding myself incredibly dissatisfied with your current service. The airline form you sell for $99.99 is useless – unless folks are also willing to spend an additional $50 per airline for the custom form. This is a departure from years past: in years past, your product was ‘good’ – i.e., after spending $100, I could actually fly with Rusty. Now your folks will tell me you have no control over what the airlines require in order to fly with an ESA. I understand that. In a similar vein, my issue is not that you’re charging an additional fee; the regulations have changed / become more restricted, and you should by all means be compensated for the additional effort that is now required. My issue is that nowhere on your website does it make clear that customers should expect an additional fee before they are able to put their letter to use. I’ve attached my back and forth with your team. We will no longer patronize this company in the future that’s not upfront about what it takes to actually use your product. We would be delighted to continue to use your product if your company acted in a consumer-friendly way (that doesn’t feel like entrapment!) This involves indicating that your base letter is $100. On top of that, all major domestic airlines except Southwest require a custom form in order to fly. Customers should expect to pay an additional $50 per airline that they wish to fly with (again, excepting Southwest); each form is good for 1 year.

Hello Katherine, I apologize for the confusion regarding custom forms. On our website and blogs we do mention that additional forms are required for several airline companies and we also mention it in the customer emails that we sent out after a consultation has been purchased. The Federal Air Carrier Act law states that the proper legal documentation for an assistance animal (ESA) is a prescription letter under the letterhead of a licensed physician or licensed mental health professional. The reality is that airline companies don't look at the letter. This doesn’t mean the letter is not still a requirement to legally travel with an ESA, therefore, a proper prescription must be issued before completing any additional airline forms. Laws regarding emotional support animals and the air carrier access act. I will be more than happy to apply a 20% refund on your forms. Please let me know. Hope this clears things out and feel free to contact me for any further questions

Certapet is amazing. My therapist was so nice and helpful and I got my letter in about 5 days, from when I ordered it to when I was approved. Im so thankful, from the bottom of my heart.

The process was simple and straightforward. I had all my questions answered quickly and honestly. I was a little apprehensive about using the service at first because I was worried it wouldn’t be legitimate, but it was recommended to me by someone I could trust so I went through with it and I’m glad I did!
