Very happy with my first experience with cerebral ! Excited to see what’s to come

Cerebral is not ready for prime time, especially when their target audience is people with mental health struggles. Not only was it impossible to find a provider with consistent availability, but Cerebral also did not provide accurate availability for my therapist. There were also issues with the system when it comes to scheduling, so my therapist did not show up for my session. While the concept is great, this app has a long way to go before being ready, and in the meantime they have potential to do a lot of harm to people already struggling

I’ve had such a stressful time in scheduling my appointments and the counselors canceling and no showing on me and also charging me $15 when they cancel on me…. I have had such a negative experience with this and I would never recommend this to anyone else. This has caused me stress and anxiety just this week alone in constant scheduling and rescheduling and unnecessary charges.

My care counselor, Erin, was compassionate, thoughtful and helpful! We came up with achievable goals for the next time we meet. Loving Cerebral so far!

Oh. My. Lord. I don't usually leave reviews, but folks need to know that if they are in a low place, they should seek help elsewhere. I just received more personable, empathetic, and compassionate service from a plastic bag salesman (I really wish I was kidding). This irony reminded me I should mention my experiences with Cerebral here. From the onset, my questions about insurance coverage were completely ignored. I was unable to upload my insurance information because their website had issues. I asked several times how I could get my insurance information reviewed, because I was nervous that if my insurance wouldn't kick in, I'd have the added stress of a $259/mo bill... for something I wasn't sure was going to help. I really needed help. Various people popped in to my chat portal, and I received numerous automated emails and text messages as well. It was overwhelming. I was not able to establish any continuity of care. It all felt very impersonal. My first counselor was charming and offered me probably one of the best bits of advice anyone has ever offered me (to join a specific support group). However, she was new to the service and unfamiliar with how the bookings worked. She allegedly overbooked herself and dropped me after our first visit. This was abrupt and there was no goodbye. I was assigned to a second counselor with much, much less training and experience. On the morning of our appointment she was over 20 minutes late, and later complained to me she had trouble logging in. At that point, I felt let down and exasperated. Cerebral clients are warned they should practice logging in before appointments. Shouldn't the counselors also practice? Really, a therapist should be waiting for you when you arrive, and ready. That's just professionals acting professional. For someone with abandonment issues, Cerebral's "care" is essentially antithetical to care. I complained and requested a cancellation and refund. I received canned responses. Even the apologies were canned! Amazing. My questions and complaints were ignored. From what I can tell, Cerebral employees do not take the concerns of their paying, upset customers seriously at all. Cerebral appears to be factory farming "care." I have a nursing degree, and I know that doesn't work. Do the folks at Cerebral not realize the gravity of their position? People in rough spots depend on them to at least be human. Update 4/30/2022. I have edited this review to 1-star because I replied to the reviews@ email (see below) and got THE SAME 1-sentence canned apology from THE SAME (fake? bot?) "Care Team Coordinator," "Jherald Z." I've requested a response from someone else, by phone, and yet Jherald Z continues to send me the same reply. Update 5/8/2022 Jherald Z continues to run me around the block with answers so vague as to be shady. "Sarah from Cerebral" has sent me about ten duplicate cancellation emails over the past few weeks. And now Carlo finally writes this morning to apologize for not responding to my April 10 inquiry about insurance 😆

Cerebral is the best thing that ever happened to me. It is so easy to get an appointment and they actually want to help you. They listen to you and take your experiences and feelings into account when designing a treatment plan for you. They are unlike other doctors who just brush you off and tell you you’re being dramatic. They validate your feelings and support you in working through your hardships!!
