My wife and I made submitted a claim through the Eclaimsline when we had to cancel a trip because of a health issue. We have the Chase Sapphire Reserve card. We were apprehensive after reading all the negative reviews on this site. Our experience with the agents was actually very good - very helpful, very pleasant. Our experience with the online system, however, was horrible. Very user unfriendly! Based on our experience, I suspect that the negative reviews were more an issue with the system and not the agents. I recommend calling an agent to help you through the system if you have problems. We are keeping our Sapphire Reserve card!

This company, also knows as Eclaims line, which provides travel benefit services for holders of Chase Sapphire Reserve, is notorious for doing everything in their power to NOT pay. At one time, they dragged out my claim for 3 months, every two weeks asking for another document, or asking another question. Only a threat of complaining to BBB (with which they are not accredited, ahem), and to Chase itself brought this case to conclusion. At another occasion, a few days after submitting the required documents, I received a response asking me to submit those very documents. When one calls them, and tries to complain, they sweet talk you and sound very understanding, but the process never moves. If all documents have been submitted correctly, the only way to prevail upon them, is to submit a formal complaint to Chase, Visa, and Insurance regulator. Publicizing this information also helps. Hopefully, Visa will wake up to the fact that current travel benefit service provided is far inferior to that of AMEX.

I lost an earbud from an expensive wireless pair when it fell out of my ear. I followed all the directions on their online form. Was contacted 3-4 days later requesting a reimbursement receipt. Another 2 days and my request was approved. I have absolutely no complaints and am grateful for the service they provided me!

Can someone tell me what's the point of having this company as travel insurance? From my understanding the point of travel insurance is to protect a travel purchase/investment from an unforeseen issue. Well if that's the case please ditch this company and find someone more reliable who will step in and actually pay you back your lost investment when things get messy or out of hand between other vendors and third parties. This is an absolute scam, a disservice to the customers they're supposedly serving, and puts the insurance industry in a more negative light than it already is in. I advised on Eclaimsline / Card Benefit Services about a trip cancellation request in regards to a medical issue and proceeded as expected: I uploaded medical documents, made notations of my fare, and provided all necessary correspondence between the travel agent and the common carrier. Eclaimsline then suggested I reach out to both the airline and travel agent and request what documentation is needed. Both parties said differing statements and both can hardly speak a lick of English. And why am I reaching out? I'M LITERALLY DOING YOUR WORK FOR YOU. THIS IS YOUR JOB NOT MINE! The problem only got much worse when the travel agent repeatedly asked for an updated medical document from my physician's office to which I complied. And then they asked for an updated medical document with a fancy signature and a stamp...and another one with nicer handwriting.. to the point where they were just beating around the bush to hope the situation drops. It's clear to see they don't want to comply with the situation because they would be losing money on the ticket sale hence the repeated use of asking for new medical documentation. Eclaimsline's clause of "Did you attempt to reach out for refunds or credits?" is an absolute joke because clearly I did but the third party here is avoiding the situation to not lose their profit. This travel insurer should've stepped in and solved the issue directly by providing a refund for the airfare based on the travel agent's reluctance to cooperate given the excessive requests. When the claims examiner makes useless statements like "...after all sir we are just a secondary travel insurance provider and there's nothing we can really do" is an insult equivalent to rubbing salt in the wound. Way to be more of the problem than the solution. If you have Eclaimsline with your Visa Infinite or other travel based credit card please stay away from using this insurer. I was super optimistic about this perk with my Chase Sapphire Reserve but now have found it to be absolutely worthless. I've heard the insurance on American Express is better but I'll have to see for myself. This company is without a doubt useless and scammy and is in dire need a class action lawsuit against them. Please cancel the contract with this company, Jamie Dimon! You are better than this!

I keep meticulous documentation of everything related to my accident, and upload the documents to their portal and send a copy via e-mail. I have called, e-mailed and sent smoke signals - yet my $1500 claim has still not been addressed and it has been almost 1 year. ONE YEAR. Ridiculous. I am considering canceling Chase and sticking with AmEx. The insurance company Chase decides to do business with makes me wonder what other shoddy practices they deploy...

I flew with American Airlines who lost my luggage on the way to my destination. After over a month, they declared it lost and lied to deny my entire claim saying I provided a fraudulent recipe, accused me of being a fraud, and rudely hung up on me while I was talking. Luckily, I had purchased the flight with my Chase Shappire Preferred credit card which offered lost luggage reimbursement. It took quite some time to receive the compensation (my took about 3 months), but the customer service is excellent. Almost every representative I spoke to was able to answer my questions and assist me in a polite and friendly manner. Some even listened to what had happened to me and how much of a headache it was processing my claim on their website. They were very understanding, and I recommend calling them right away if you have issues. It is best to talk to them than figure out how to process the claim on your own. I received a fair compensation that I probably would never receive from American Airlines. Thank you Chase and eclaims!! It is worth having the Chase Shappire Credit Card as their benefits are pretty good and I think better than other credit cards. Now the downside, not enough clarity on required documentation needed for claim. Make sure to go on the eclaims website to see what you need and just call them when you're not sure. I found info on the Chase benefit pamphlet was lacking information and best to refer to the eclaims website. The website does not work well and there is no save option. I literally sat on my chair for 4 hours completing the form and listing all of the items lost, date purchased, and amount paid. I was so happy to upload my documents and when I clicked submit, I received an error message. It is best to talk to a rep about a solution. Luckily, I saved a print document of the form and uploaded this on their website. They told me errors usually occurs when you upload too many documents. This honestly got me so upset that this information wasn't provided to customers before they file their claims via their website. I would have then been more cautious using their website so not to get an error msg. Be ready to re-submit documentations. I think it is something with their website. I was asked to re-submit via email instead of their website. Supposedly, the claim examiner couldn't open the documents from the website. This makes me wonder why they even use the website when it doesn't work well. At one point, they had asked me to re-submit documents I already re-submitted!! I called a rep asap and spoke to a wonderful rep who helped me bring my case to a senior claim examiner. At first, she didn't understand my issue, but after I explained the issue, she handled it very well! Don't expect to hear back when they say they will! This was the most annoying part when you hoped to hear on an exact day their decision on your claim and you left refreshing your email to see if you got an email. Also, don't bother calling because they will just tell you that it takes time and you will get a decision when the claim examiner gets a chance to read your docs. If you just be patient, provide all of their required documents (even if you are missing some receipts, they tell you it is ok cause who still keeps receipts for things they brought!! or even get receipts sometimes), and consistently keep in touch with them, you will most likely get compensation if they deem your case is valid. On a side note, I highly reccommend to anyone not to fly with American Airlines. It has been 5 months since the incident and I have tried contacting them and they just keep saying there are discrepanies to deny my claim. I told them I could prove the receipt is real, but they would not hear any of it and just hung up. They continue screwing over other customers - check their twitter page. Save yourself a headache and spend more to fly with an airline that cares!

Complete scam, is an understatement. All my documents have been uploaded for months, and now they are requesting(intentional delay to wear you out), the exact same docs I already submitted. Can you spell Class Action for fraud against Chase?
