If I can give them a negative I will! I booked through Capital One Travel for Grand Hyatt -Bali stays for 4 nights. I paid 5 levels up (around $100+ for each night) to a nice ocean view twice bed room 3 months ahead. I was told it was cancelled when I got there. Grand Hyatt staff told me Capital One didn’t pay them 3 days before the reservations, so it was cancelled. Grand Hyatt ended up giving me a garden view room which is about $100/night less than we I paid for because capital one just changed my reservation from Ocean view to garden view!!!! Which costs $400 less!!! I would never use Capital One Travel again!! It was a SCAM!!!

I cannot recommend Capital One Travel based on our recent experience. My daughter booked round-trip flights to London through their website, but encountered significant issues: When Virgin Atlantic cancelled and rebooked the outbound flight (resulting in a 12-hour delay), Capital One Travel was unable to assist with cancellation. We were caught in a loop between Capital One Travel and Virgin Atlantic regarding cancellation and refunds. Virgin expected the travel agent (Capital One Travel) to handle cancellations, but Capital One Travel claimed they couldn't help. My daughter had to book new flights on her own and initiate a dispute with Capital One credit card to recover costs. After a month of back-and-forth, only half of the original booking cost has been refunded. When Virgin Atlantic confirmed they had issued a full refund to Capital One Travel, the Capital One Travel support representative claimed no knowledge of this transaction. They insisted on an email from Virgin Atlantic instead of checking their own system for the refund. Customer service was inadequate in resolving these issues, leaving us to navigate a complex situation without proper support. The lack of internal communication and inability to verify transactions within their own system is particularly concerning. Overall, Capital One Travel failed to provide the assistance and service expected from a travel agent, especially during flight cancellations and rebookings. The lack of coordination between Capital One Travel and airlines, as well as apparent issues with their internal systems, creates frustrating experiences for travelers.

i booked 4 seats for my airtravel,and for 2 of connecting flights i didnt even receive a confirmation number and couldnt change seats,there site is a ripoff,never ever in my life i will book my flights through them.I am raising a BBB complaint on this.

Booked a hotel for 2 queens. My confirmation said beds assigned at check in. I called about this. COT said they were unable to change this or assign queens. I could cancel and re-book, but Capital One Travel could not guarantee my rate reduction from the initial booking!!!! The hotel said they had 2 queen availability but I had to call Capital One Travel, since the booking was through them! Got the total run around that the Travel Team reps were not answering their phones. On hold forever! Finally got the, can I call you back. I called again and got the same BS. I requested to speak with a supervisor… again, the supervisor was not picking up!!!! Waited for 15 minutes, requested to continue my wait. Said supervisor could not call me back! The first rep said someone would call me back???? ABSOLUTE WORST SERVICE FOR BOOKING!!! I WILL NEVER BOOK THROUGH CAPITAL ONE TRAVEL EVER AGAIN!!!! FIRST AND LAST TIME!!! TOTAL BAIT AND SWITCH TO RECOVER THEIR $100 Discount to me! I AM LIVID!!!! DO NOT USE!!!!!

They advertise hotel prices that mysteriously become more expensive right as you're about to book. It is insanely annoying when you do all the research on a hotel, decide the one you want to use based on the pricing being displayed, and then get the message of "This hotel price jumped an extra $30 a night in the last 10 minutes of you looking. Sorry about that!". I tried a different hotel option after seeing that message, and it did it again for a different hotel! I usually like my Venture X, but if Capital One wants to play games like that, I'll rethink my future with them real quick. If you are displaying a hotel price to your customers, make sure the price is updated at the point of selection, and not at the very last minute.

The prices are always well above what you can book directly or through the major travel portals. Example, just booked RT Boston to NYC flight - $247 on Capital One Travel, $197 for the exact same flights, same class on Kayak or on Delta's website. Car rentals, you can't select the levels of insurance coverage so you have to overpay at pickup.....Hotels higher on the portal than booking direct. They offer 5-10 points but overcharge you more than the value of the points.

Using CapitalOne travel was the WORST experience I have ever had booking travel. I would rate them a -10. I used CapitalOne travel service or the first time last year in July. After I purchased my airline ticket, I unfortunately had to cancel due to illness. I received an airline credit only to find out that my credit needed to be used on two different airlines. I was not informed before buying my ticket that due to purchasing one ticket with two different airlines (one leaving and the other coming home) that I would have to travel like this when using my credit. I have been trying to use my credit for about 5 months now, but I am being shot down every single time by some policy or another that is a "CapitalOne" policy and NOT the airlines. Most of the calls I made to CapitalOne I got a representative that was very rude, even the managers. I called one of the airlines directly to ask about their policy, only to find out it is different from CapitalOne. CapitalOne is trying to tell me I have to use my credit by expiration date or lose it, while the airlines tell me (and I found it on their website) that I only have to book before expiration date and I can fly any time after that date. Long story short (I called CapitalOne 5 times to try to work something out with them to no avail) So I do not lose my credit, I will now pay $50 to the airline (JetBlu) to take over my credit and they will book something for me before my expiration date (July) and I can fly any date I chose after. I have since closed all three of my banking accounts with CapitalOne and will soon cancel my credit card. I will be posting this on every social media outlet I can. Lesson: ALWAYS book direct with the airline.....NEVER use CapitalOne travel!!

Capital One travel is a scam! I had a travel credit for over 1k from a trip I had to cancel in 2023. I tried using my credit twice in 2024, spent over an hour over the phone 2 times, only to find out they were trying to sell me an overpriced flight - Basic Economy, without bags! They add so many fees and extra charges to make it impossible for you to use travel credits. On top of it, customer service was rude and unprofessional. They certainly lost my business. Stay away from Capital One travel and Delta Airlines.
