I would give them zero stars if possible. I booked my Montreal hotel stay through Capital One Travel four months before my travel date. I called the hotel two weeks before my stay to confirm my stay and it was confirmed. However, on the day I tried to check in the front desk informs me that my reservation was canceled by Capital One a week before my arrival. I was not made aware of any cancellations. I had to scramble to figure out what was going on. I called Capital One travel only to be informed that, yes, my paid reservation had been indeed canceled by the third party they work with. They had no answers for me as to why that would happen and why I wasn't notified. They said they didn't know why that had happened. First and only time I book hotels through them!

By far one of the worst experience in all of my life's experience is dealing with capital one travel. I made a booking with a typo in the name and I had to spend over 20 hours on the phone with them but cannot get it corrected even when they said I would be charged an additional fee which I was willing to pay. Don't ever waste your money with them. Totally irresponsbile company.

Terrible customer service when dealing with any changes due to weather or unforeseen conditions. I had booked my flight and hotel through capital one to Florida but the airline canceled on the day of due to adverse weather. I have been going around in circles trying to get my refund for the hotel and capital one travel agents blatantly keeps telling me that the hotel can’t give the refund and when I call the hotel they say that they can work with capital one to agree on a refund. Unfortunately I can’t work with the hotel directly because I booked through capital one. It’s been a nightmare and stressful situation having to explain myself every time I call and talk to multiple agents at capital one , and whatever “notes” they have written down doesn’t help them or me. It’s frustrating enough to explain myself every single day and multiple times to different people on the situation. I am currently still waiting on my refund from capital one. I made the grave mistake of booking through them considering I have been a loyal capital one customer for several years but they have taken no accountability in providing any kind of compensation to their customers. I should have just booked with the hotel directly and perhaps I would have already gotten my refund. Very disappointed in capital one travel and booking through them as all they have done thus far is make me call them and follow up with no accountability of any sort on compensation for the hotel stay that I couldn’t make it to since flights were canceled and they still expect me to risk my safety and just be at the hotel regardless of the situation.

When booking a car thru capitalone travel please be careful. Car rental office do not have hours of operation so you may book a car when office is closing. Also whatch what you search for as searches are not accurate. I had a one a bad experience with customer service. They only had one track mind without trying to listen to the complete experience to improve their web site and customer experience

Don’t book in the app for any travel! They offer all this wonderful things but they don’t deliver! You pay for the protection in case you flights gets delayed or cxl but they don’t rebook, the team is not on the US and they don’t have any knowledge. They don’t understand and when trying to look for a new flight they just get you around and around. Worst services! Never again.

I was traveling from Lima to Iquitos on Sky Airline purchased with trip interruption insurance. On my day of travel, Lima Airport was chaos due to inoperative runway lights. In short, I spent 12 hours at the airport trying to get a flight out, but even though I was rerouted I never left for Iquitos. Capital One Travel was useless. The first rep couldn’t read an itinerary and its history properly. His supervisor insisted I was a no-show for my flight. In sum, I lost the entire fare of $200 and never made it to Iquitos - another loss of $100 for the retreat was supposed to attend and $130 for my hotel. Never again will I spend actual money at Capital One Travel, and you shouldn’t either.

The Capitalone travel service is an absolute joke. We booked flights from Boston to Tortola almost a year in advance directly through Capitalone to take advantage of points on our Capitalone card. This was a bad mistake. After booking a same day flight from Boston to San Juan with Delta and then on to Tortola through Delta using Silver Airlines, we got a notification from C-One a month later saying that our flight had been changed. We were now flying a day earlier and had to spend a night in San Juan to catch the connecting flight. This is because Delta canceled the flight (which was not Capitalone’s problem to be fair). We called Delta and they couldn’t help us because it had been booked through Capitalone. We called Capitalone and they were completely incompetent. Call #1 lasted 45 mins and just as we got to the person who could help us, the call disconnected. Call #2 we were told that there were alternate flights available to get us there the same day. They even gave us the flight details. We were put on hold for 50 mins and they never came back. Call #3. Another 30 minutes. We explained the problem to the woman and she understood and promised to call us back with a resolution. She actually did call us back a few hours later and we were told that they couldn’t help us (even though the previous person said that flights were available). We had to call Delta. Net result, they were happy to take our reservation but when something changed (still 208 days prior to leaving) they were no help whatsoever. Skip this stupid service and book direct with the airlines. No value added. Worthless service

Two experiences: 1. Before Christmas 2023, I was headed to Orlando for a 2 night stay. The resort feels actually 60% higher than what I was quoted. Capital One's response was that's your problem. It doesn't say good things for the company when they can't get their facts straight. 2. They offered disruption insurance for a Spirit flight to BWI, then on to Orlando. When flight was delayed 3 hours they refunded me. On the return flight from Orlando, a direct flight to Boston, the flight was delayed over 2 hours. No insurance refund or reschedule was offered. Now if I go to book a flight there is no insurance offered. I did find the same prices and better insurance on Expedia. I'm sure they've got their own problems I expected better from capital one since they portray themselves as being the best- they're not.
