I first found build.com by searchI got ice makers. Their site popped up as icemakersdirect.com. Once I found the machine I was looking for a pop up ad offered 5% off if I join their mailing list. I did and of course my inbox begins to fill up with their marketing emails. I find my 5% off code and apply it at the check out and it says this item does not qualify for this code. Bait and switch!!!! Reluctantly I purchase the ice maker. It arrived damaged. I notified build.com and the rep sent me an email saying he would try to help but no guarantee he can do anything for me. I responded to his email with the info and pics he requested. He never followed through at all.

I was helped by Sierra Whitton at Build.com on Jan 23,2020. She was fantastic when helping me look into some lighting parts...and even set up a cart with the items and sent it to me in an email so that I could modify the cart (if needed) and simply place my order (#72792286). I was so very impressed by both her expertise and extraordinary friendliness over the phone. I hope the company takes a moment to recognize her for being an outstanding "face" for the business!! Sincerely, Steve

Bought a product that was online and advertised at a really good price. 3 days later got an email that the product was unavailable...but here have $20 off anything else. I don't want anything else on your site. I clicked on an ad for a specific item at a specific price and it wasn't honored.

Price on website showed Kohler toilet model that we liked for $299.00. Picture showed it with seat. When we got the total price the seat was added extra as was the wax seal all which comes in the box. This brought the price to over $390.00. BEWARE of these type practices from any seller. When I chatted with them on line the lady even tried to add the flush handle. This statement is my opinion.

BEWARE! Very poor quality & even worse customer service. I spent over 700.00$ usd on an electric fireplace. The quality was awful and I had to have the Fireplace console stabilized with actual wood pieces I purchased from a local lumbar store. I contacted Build.com and I received cookie cutter responses. Stay away from this company!

Terrible company. Will not stand behind their products or warranties. Do not buy from them or the company they acquired compact appliance

Spent at least an hour searching out just the right cabinet pull, purchased them online only to find out the next day that the product was discontinued and $$ refunded. I will not be buying products from this company.
