Yup, they had good prices. But, good prices don't help if you can't actually receive the items you've bought. I thought I would save a little money and order through them. My items have been traveling around California for the last week, my bathroom is torn up, and my contractor has moved on to other jobs because I don't have the toilet and sink I ordered. Avoid them.

I chose to use build.com instead of Home Depot because Home Depot did not have everything I wanted. My mistake! Customer service is horrendous once you’ve ordered it you’re on your own. They don’t even know who’s shipping the materials. I ordered $2300 worth of bathroom equipment September 29 it is now and November 3 and I’m still waiting for a fourth of it. And what’s worse they don’t know where it’s at because one shipping company past the materials onto a different shipping company. Stick with Home Depot Lowes or Ace

Attempted to cancel order within 24 hours after placing. Was assured via email my order was cancelled. Turns out they only cancelled the $20 part of my order then shipped the $790 part of my order. It was delivered without my physical presence (despite being told they needed someone to sign for it). I initiated a return which they said they could handle. Did not hear from them for 5 days so initiated another return. They cancelled the previous return because they said that was the only way they could generate a "bill of lading" which was needed to pick up the item. Then sent a driver to my house who called to inform me that he could not pick up item because he didn't have a bill of lading. I've given up on build.com and I'm currently disputing with credit card. They don't know how to run their own business.

Wish I’d seen these reviews about Build.com before I made an order. During the thick of Coronavirus, we were also in the thick of building a cabin. The two events collided, so unfortunately our build hasn’t gone smoothly as difficult getting materials etc. I did receive my order from this company but now cannot make use of everything. The item in the box I don’t need has never been opened!! But they won’t take it back!! Said 60 days is maximum. I would’ve if Coronavirus hadn’t impacted our house building so I would’ve know earlier. For that reason I’ll never order another thing from them.... !!!!!!!!!

So far, I have received two damaged items from this company. Disgusted.

Needed to returned 5 recess lights that I had ordered. No one ever picked up when I called several times to inquire for a return receipt and eventually had to use live chat. Once I was able to complete a return, 1/3 of my total price paid was taken for return shipment. This was my 1st and will be my last time dealing with build.com. Awful service!

Build.com does not mark products upfront when they cannot be returned. They do not alert you on the product page or at checkout. Even when they know no items from a brand can be returned, they bury the information several clicks in on a return policy page, rather than be upfront about it during the purchase process. Very dishonest, and I will never shop with them again as a result.

Worst company I’ve ever dealt with. I had to open a fraud case with my bank because they would not take back their defective merchandise.
