Horrible company - tried to cancel our trip 2 weeks prior (when confirmed 5 months in advance) and again when we were checking into the hotel! A friend of ours had 3 trips cancelled. Unbelievable. The response below is BS - My husband is an attorney and reviewed the terms and conditions with the management at the hotel. Terms were not clear and misleading. Even management was confused. We understood that you could not travel with more than 1 other couple under the same promotion. We had friends who booked through Apple so they used that excuse to try to cancel us. It was not a business trip, wedding, or any type of event prohibited in their terms. Go to other sites and you'll find the same type of complaints.

I had a wonderful vacation. I traveled alone, but still it was very enjoyable. The Holiday Inn Resort was beautiful, and more than I had expected and I had read a lot of reviews in anticipation of my vacation. It was very clean and the staff very accommodating and the food delicious (especially the fish tacos). They should add at least one more restaurant (I'm thinking a fine dining) for more variety. Both restaurants are outdoor, butt one offers indoor seating as well. It's a huge place, but there was never any waiting for a table at either restaurant. The show Saturday and Wednesday were very professional, I was pleasantly surprised. The resort was a really great family place, lots of fun stuff for kids, but because it is so huge, they can offer a peaceful environment and private pool area for adults at one of three pool locations. The Villa Group seminar was also enjoyable and I am giving very serious thought to my retirement and including a vacation resort membership as big part of it (that's what retirement should be - a permanent vacation). I would probably use it to go to Cabo every time I could. The sales staff did push a little hard, but I certainly expected that. I explained that due to pending health issues, I was not going to make a large financial commitment at this time, until those issues are resolved, and they eased off a bit. I am serious about purchasing a vacation resort membership through Villa Group at a time closer to my retirement; not too far from now. They fed me a very nice breakfast with champagne Mimosa's, and they entire experience overall was enjoyable. Although I did not appreciate no return transportation back to my hotel which was 30 miles away (remember I was traveling alone), it wasn't too bad; I got some nice souveniers in downtown Cabo San Lucas. Cabo San Lucas was very crowded, so it made me appreciate the more peaceful atmosphere of Cabo San Jose upon my return. I went horseback riding a couple times right on the beach in front of the hotel and down to the estuary to watch the sunset - GORGEOUS - also went ATV riding, and took (2) boat rides (one was the glass-bottom tour of the keyhole, courtesy of "Villa Group") and that was the greatest tour, very beautiful and fun! It was a very memorable vacation and I can now call Cabo one of my favorite vacations spots! Thanks for inviting me; it's too bad I have to wait a year to do it again!

They're very deceiving with their advertising... I paid $99 deposit for a trip to las mareas Costa Rica and when I called to book my dates was told it's only for married or cohabiting couples, so in order for me and my BF to go our ID's have to show same address (we have a house together but in CA you do change of address online and carry a certificate with you until DL expires) After speaking to 3 people someone gave me her email address asked me to send proof my BF and I own a house together and it's now been 4 days and I haven't gotten a call or email back. I rather lose $99 deposit than dealing with them...

I had the confirmation number 835772. I bought 1 week to Cancun in February for my two nephew who came from Europe for summer vacation. When I called to schedule the date of the trip I was told ; they don't qualify for my initial booking because are under age. What means under age for BookVIP? It's under 27 year old and has to be a couple! What really is happening there? It's swing club together with Timeshare's advertising? Who know! Why you don't let people know all of the above when they call for booking? Scum? That for sure! The point is that I paid in full $ 586 and (had 1 year time period to schedule the vacation) and three month later after my cancellation, all what I received was $ 39 . Lawsuit? Of-course I'll file a lawsuit against BOOKVIP and I'll put allover internet, but you people out-there don't do what I did, the headache is not worth it

Seems to me the bait and switch is real i didnt complete my reservation through bookvip because for one the Vegas resort said they didnt have me even entered on my dates called back and got no where with bookvip customer service horrible then they have the audacity to offer a free vacation over they mess up and still wanted to charge called the same resort no money down got there enjoyed my vacay but not tganks to bookvip and please dont give me the computer generated response you use everytime a bad review emerges

Bookvip was awesome to deal with before we took our trip, with the whole traveling and making sure I had what I needed for my trip. But their aftercare, is just ridiculous! They want nothing to do with their customers after you've been on your trip. Trying to get the Amazon gift card they promised me is like trying to pull teeth! Don't know that I'd recommend to anyone after this whole experience is complete, especially now that they have called me and asked me to take my review down!
