Bokksu is unique and special. I cannot express how delightfully unexpected some of the flavours and items are. It is the one thing I do for myself each day to wind down after grad school and work- have a small treat. I never drank tea before, but now I do daily. I just never had quality tea. The vendors are so clearly passionate about what they are doing. You can honestly get a really cool gift from their market for just about every person you know. The candy, pastries, and salty snacks are great. You can also get anime inspired items and well-crafted items for your kitchen. Look around on their website. There is a lot to explore and enjoy. If you want to check out the quality, I recommend the Seasons of Japan box so you can see what flavours to expect. Then play around in the market and see what you want to order larger quantities of. They also do seasonal boxes for a monthly subscription. Right now, I am looking forward to the sakura box that is coming soon. I just get so happy when I see their box on my doorstep!

We have received two boxes so far and are loving our Bokksu experience. There are three of us in the family and each night after dinner, we eat 3-4 treats, splitting and sharing each one together, reading the descriptions, discussing what we like and don't like, and watching some of the artisan videos. It's a fun and a great bonding experience. The treats are really amazing -- high quality, tasty, and very different than what you can get at the normal grocery store (at least here in the southeast -- might be different on the west coast.) All in all, we are loving it!
