Betterhelp is great.

BetterHelp made seeking therapy less daunting. After making countless phone calls and struggling to book an appointment with a therapist I liked, BetterHelp connected me to an amazing and compassionate therapist almost instantly. I feel that I have made progress towards better mental health and learned about myself through the process. I would highly recommend BetterHelp to anyone else who has been intimidated by starting therapy - it is so worth it.

Hollie Chambers is truly an amazing listener and has really supported me with the understanding of where I come from and my those things I grew up still affect my growth today. She has given me homework that has helped me characterize some of my most intimate challenges with strategic critical thinking exercises that assist me in working through some truly difficult core issues. When I have lapses of judgement, or rage and anger issues, Hollie Chambers has given me some real tools in how to look and how to review my thinking that I had not gotten prior. I hope that whomever reads this can secure her support before she is no longer able to take on new clients. She has become an invaluable part of my life and I thank her for giving me her most valuable commodity, her time, in helping me be the best version of myself.

If I’m being honest, I went into this with low expectations because, I mean, it’s an app, right? I’ve also been in & out of face to face therapy for a very long time & worried this might be too basic. But I was very pleasantly surprised! The first therapist I was matched with couldn’t meet my scheduling needs, so I requested a new match. They we’re so understanding & supportive & gave me a free week because of this, then matched me with the perfect therapist for me! I love that I can essentially vent to her whenever I need to, as often as I need to, & she’ll provide solid, unbiased feedback each time. You don’t have to wait until your next scheduled appointment with a list of complaints you can hardly remember anyhow like traditional therapy. Scheduling is also very flexible. If I haven’t been able to find an available time slot that works for me, I message her & she fits me in at a time that works for us both. I can’t say enough good things about my experience with BetterHelp, I highly recommend downloading it! Be prepared to be impressed, supported, encouraged & motivated!

Great experience with this online therapy option. If you don't like who you are matched with, you can request a switch until you find your therapy match. If you don't like your match, please do this before judging the service. I probably switched 5 times before I actually talked to one of them. It is worth it to make an effort. You can see the therapist's credentials, and google more using their name so you can read other reviews on them and feel good about your choice. Being able to do the "chatroom" option for therapy sessions is so great for those who feel awkward discussing things out loud.
