If im being honest, i was putting my emotional and mental wellbeing on the back burner constantly for years before i found out about BetterHelp, but now Im really glad i started using BetterHelp because im no longer allowing my emotional wounds to fester. Before i wasnt happy with life and I couldnt see any way to get out of the rut i was in, but my BetterHelp counselor really helped me see that there is a way I can feel happy again. This brought me hope, motivation, and a passion for life that I had lost for a really long time. I felt like my first 2 counselors at BetterHelp didn’t really match my personality very well, but my current counselor (my third) has a style of counseling that fits my personality and emotional-makeup extremely well. This is perfectly normal. Not every single counselor will match perfectly with you because there are so many unique personalities and counseling styles out there. Its really easy and simple to switch counselors, so just keep trying and you will find what you need. I know that ending all sessions with a counselor can be kind of challenging for some people because they dont want to potentially offend the counselor, but the whole point of BetterHelp is to help you and its important to put your mental and emotional health over the possibility of offending someone who probably wouldnt even get offended over something thats just business anyway. Overall, my experience was definitely very positive, and it was the best thing i ever did for my emotional and mental health other than cutting my toxic ex out of my life.
