The first therapist I had was a social worker and she just stopped responding to my texts mid conversation which I thought was rude. She didn’t help me at all. So I tried another therapist who was an actual counselor and he was very helpful but he was only available biweekly so the sessions were around $130 each. That’s a very expensive situation and definitely not worth it

Better Help has been a great experience and I actually prefer it to in person therapy because there are messaging and journal entry options that allow my therapist to provide feedback and check in daily. This allows our sessions to be more fruitful cause she knows what I've been doing this week and how I'm feeling and our video sessions can get right to it as opposed to a big dump of information from the past week.

This website definitely seems like a SCAM. I have been charged and have never seen a therapist. I tried to log on. Had sooo many issues but finally was able to reset my password and so I logged on 5 mins passed my session time... Only to find the therapist was now "unavailable" and I would have to reschedule but of course, still be charged...

This place is absolutely terrible. I signed up and they assigned me a counselor who wanted an early morning appointment. I wrote back asking for a different counselor with a different schedule and they basically kicked me out of the program with no explanation whatsoever. I begged them to tell me what I did to get kicked off the program and they would not tell me. I even asked him if they sure it was me they were kicking off and they said yes but offered no explanation. Refusing to help people and not giving them any other avenues is a travesty. I have never been treated like that in my life by a anybody let alone a counselor. VERY disappointed in better help.

I have only been using BetterHelp a couple of weeks but I am already very impressed. The matching process to a counsellor was great and my appointed counsellor is great, extremely approachable,friendly and gives great advice. The choice of counselling- video, phone, message is great. I would highly recommend

BetterHelp really did help me. When I was matched with my first counselor - it was a real MISS. I had never had counseling before, didn't even want to do it but had to for the sake of my family.... Then I got rematched with a new counselor and she was the perfect match. Find your perfect match. This is no gimmick. I started at the Bottom now I'm HERE!!

Better help has so much more than counseling. They offer ' Groupinars' (seminars), included in your subscription, where you can learn anonymously. These seminars consist of an accredited speaker, slides, and a anonymous chat box to ask questions and find camaraderie. You are also able to save the information you learned in the session. I found this to be an invaluable tool. Education is an important key to healing yourself. Counselors are a big help too. You can chat with them anytime, that's great for when you feel overwhelmed or in great need of a friend. Overall this program is one of the best.
