The site was easy to use and by responding to questions about my needs and beliefs I was matched with my therapist who has been wonderful and supportive. We’ve been speaking now for five months and I have never found the sessions difficult they have always been constructive and comfortable. I do feel I am making strides forward and would strongly recommend BetterHelp to anyone feeling in need of help.

Comes with the good/bad. Overall really great app
Overall I think BetterHelp is an amazing platform for people seeking out therapy and connecting with therapists in the format they offer. In my time of using BetterHelp, I have come across some amazing people and supports and have come across some not so helpful people which kind of tainted my view of certain experiences online but overall really helpful platform.

I was tired of my healthcare system letting me down, so I gave this a try
I chose BetterHelp as an alternative of going through the NHS system, as I know it takes forever to see anyone. Let me tell you, I made the right decision. You can schedule appointments whenever, rearrange them, message your therapist, participate in various classes (very informative) and group classes. The list goes on and on and it is really incomparable to the standard service you get with public health care. Trust me, I know the frustration of finally getting the help you deserve via free healthcare, then being disappointed later on as you don't feel like anyone cares and they leave you hanging. You won't have to worry with this.
The membership plans also take into consideration your circumstances. Thus, if you are receiving any benefits or are unemployed, then you can purchase a membership at a good discounted price. However, it is still a bit pricey for me, which is why I haven't given the full 5 stars.
All in all, if you're tired of your healthcare system letting you down and want something that is consistent, good quality and you have a bit of cash to spare. Choose BetterHelp.
To improve:
- It would be nice that when we are in a call, we are able to minimise the call screen and look over previous messages we sent to our therapist, or just navigate the site in general whilst the call plays in a small player in the background, kinda what YouTube does, when the video continues playing in a smaller screen as your searching for what to watch next.

I can't get started-not good matches to begin with
I can't get started. I asked for Christian and they gave me 0. They did give me a counselor who specializes in black women . . . I am a woman, but not black. They suggested others that specialize in anger and addictions . . . but not what I am looking for. I don't know why they say they will match you because it appears they just put on you sheet whoever is available?
Update: They said they match but I didn't say black woman, addictions, or anger. They said they would be in touch. I emailed them more than once and no response.
Update: they responded. They are going to try to find someone who is a Christian and works with grief. If it is almost impossible, why don't they just tell that upfront.
Update: they can't find one that is Christian who works with Grief. Can't find one. But they will keep looking.

This company is a scam
This company is a scam. They partner with a company called Uplife and share all of their clients' information. My daughter had two consultations with BetterHelp and paid both times, but my insurance company is demanding $730 from Uplife for both consultations. I already paid $250 to BetterHelp, but that was unrelated to this. I've emailed and called both BetterHelp and Uplife, but they just keep saying they'll look into it and get back to me... There's no solution in sight. This is an unscrupulous company that sucks the money and spirit of people who are struggling mentally. Please be careful. This is causing me so much stress.

We're sorry for any stress or frustration you're experiencing, Yoon Choi. It sounds like you may have two different accounts -- one with BetterHelp and perhaps one with "Uplife" and are being charged for both. At BetterHelp, we provide support through email only currently, but as long as you are reaching out to us from the email address linked to the BetterHelp account, we can walk you through the process of a billing explanation, and help find a resolution that works for you. Our goal is never to take money without providing services, but instead to keep our services open to our members so they can get the support they need, when they need it.
In any case, I've requested the email address linked to your account so that our team can follow up with you directly once more and try to get this resolved for you!

Should've done it sooner
I was so nervous initially being as that this is my first ever therapist but honestly I wish I would've done it sooner. Thank God for therapy.
