I wasn't sure that an online therapist would be enough for me, but after logging into the website and seeing all that BetterHelp had to offer including therapy I was convinced. My first meeting with my therapist was live chat. She is continually checking in with me and acknowledging my journal entries. I really love using the journal with suggestive topics. I have also taken part in the Groupinars which are very helpful

BetterHelp is an excellent way to connect to counselors and professionals to strengthen one's mental health. You can read the bios of the psychologist and counselors to aid in finding the one that will fit your particular need. You have the option to change professionals until you find one you trust and can really assist you to better living. Then through weekly meetings, daily journals, and even daily messaging to your professional if you want...you build with the professional to create a life of support, strength, and happiness. There are so many additional tools and resources, that you really have to try it out and explore.

Betterhelp has been so beneficial to these last few months. With my work schedule, going to a traditional therapist is nearly impossible. Having someone that's available at later hours and free messaging outside of scheduled appointments has been a godsend.

*UPDATED REVIEW* Well, what can I say? I had a very poor initial experience with BetterHelp and came here to warn others and to vent about it. I was not expecting BetterHelp to even read my review, let alone take it seriously and try to fix the problem. But to my amazement, not only was I contacted by multiple people from BetterHelp, I was also informed that their website developers or IT people would be actively looking into the issue to try to fix it so that others wouldn't have the same experience as myself. To me, this speaks volumes about the company and the people there, as well as their goal of helping people. I eventually ended up having a back and forth dialogue with a BetterHelp employee named Aaron who was not only very helpful, but he was also very kind and wanted to make sure that I knew that THEY were also unhappy about MY experience. I never would have expected that sort of response and the fact that they didn't just want to disregard me or bribe me into deleting my review or anything is truly remarkable. They said they could do better, and spending the resources to try to fix part of the website process truly shows that BetterHelp really does seek to help people. They never once asked me to modify my review and they never even so much as hinted at it. In fact, when I told Aaron that I would like to edit my review to better reflect my overall experience, he made me feel like my review was the farthest thing from his (and BetterHelp's) minds and that what they really wanted was to make sure that I (and others in the future) wouldn't have to experience the crushing emotional letdown that I had initially experienced. This has been the absolute best customer-service experience that I have ever had, because I believe that they actually care, and I can confidently recommend BetterHelp to anyone that I may know who could benefit from online therapy. And I greatly and sincerely appreciate their efforts to contact me to make sure I knew that they were actively addressing the problem. Thank you, Aaron, and everyone involved; I am grateful. ------------------------------------------------------ (Original 1-star review) I'm miserable and just got tricked into spending over an hour formulating a message only to be disallowed from sending it because I am too poor. They tricked me and it's painful. They had a therapist send me a personal message and gave me the full ability to write back. . . BUT when I tried actually sending my response, it was only THEN that I was told that I needed to pay in order to respond. Why cause me more sadness and disappointment by allowing me to receive a message (thought someone actually cared; I was wrong) and type a long, serious, deeply thought-out response without paying, to have the sales pitch thrown at me ONLY once I try to actually send the message? It's dishonest and manipulative. I understand the business model, and Better Help definitely has a right to receive financial compensation, but I'm a real person with real feelings, emotions and difficulties, and they definitely shouldn't try to trick me just so they can take the few dollars I do have. Don't allow me to spend my time and emotion typing if you're not going to allow me to send what I typed; It's called being an honest, decent human being.

I highly recommend BetterHelp. It has helped me immensely. The therapist I am seeing is highly professional, kind and amazing listener. In a short span he has helped me identify my issues and gave me tools to overcome them. The best part about better help is it’s convenience. I have often neglected my seeking help by simply saying that I didn’t have time. With BetterHelp you can get the help you need right at home.

I'm so glad I signed up with Better Help. I love that I can "vent" through the app and my counselor answers me. Peggy has been amazing! She validates my feelings and helps me understand them.
