I learned about BetterHelp on the web. Two meetings so far. I am pleased with my counselor, the platform and the topnotch customer service and follow-up I have experienced.

Initially, I had a good opinion of BetterHealth. At the first session, my therapist said she was going on vacation the following week, so I messaged the BH team to see what could be done about a missed therapy appointment. Reply back was quick, said they would extend my subscription another week so I'd have the promised four visits. Great. Today was supposed to be my fourth appointment. I tuned in at the correct time. No therapist. I'm pretty sure someone at BH messed up and didn't take care of resetting the parameters. Really unhappy. I've sent messages but haven't heard back immediately. Further, the one group I attended was terrific, but I've signed up for other group sessions, only to receive a message that one was canceled and another was rescheduled for 2 AM in my time zone. I'm sleeping then, so no thanks. BetterHelp has a great premise. Unfortunately, it doesn't quite live up to it. This review replaces the 5-star review I wrote a week or so ago.

I tried 3 therapists and none of them were up to my standards. #1 only made vague broad statements and failed to give me clear answers that suited my situation. #2 was eager to help, but it was at a superficial level and didn't help me dive into deeper issues. #3 cancelled or even failed to show up for my sessions without informing me in advance many times. His style was also like #2 - just scratch the surface of the issue. If you are looking for a serious therapy, BetterHelp is not what you need.

I'm glad for the assistance from my Better help therapist. I would highly recommend for anyone inquiring. The sessions are safe, through and I've appreciated the platform and my therapist.

Love how easy it is to have a session. I like to have video and phone sessions. My therapist listens and encourages and brings out what I am feeling.

Terrible. Their review system is flawed. I wrote a negative review about my last counselor and they didn't even publish it!!! How are we supposed to know if a counselor is a good fit for us if they only publish positive reviews on their platform. Smh...

Better health paired me up with an amazing therapist who really listens to me, is patient with me and has given me practical advice and wisdom on how to process past emotional trauma and has encouraged me to stay on a pathway of healing and reconciliation with my family. I really wanted a therapist who had a Godly perspective and approached my issues with sound biblical wisdom. I am thankful that Better Help found the right therapist who fit the criteria I was looking for! I always recommend Better Help to family and friends who are looking for counselors who can help them through their own healing journey as well.

BetterHelp has offered convenient and reputable counseling for my needs. With a hectic work, gym and yoga schedule being able to have video sessions with my counselor keeps us connected for a personable and helpful session. My counselor has trauma and EMDR training that has greatly assisted me with healing from childhood traumas and experiences as a healthcare professional.
