I was due to have my first bereavement video session this am - but it really was not made clear how the video contact would be managed. I e mailed the therapist 5 minutes before our meeting but I did not receive a reply. I fear I may have been scammed.

I was hesitant to start, stigma; young straight male in a disenfranchised world struggling with life changes. I took the leap and signed up and have only been mad with myself that I didn’t do it sooner. It’s been amazing, literally lifechaning. It paired me perfectly with my therapist and it’s given me so many tools to better handle life. Thank you BetterHelp!

They are a VERY aggressive marketing team under they guise of therapy, once they have your info they very aggressively start charging your account. You cannot get in touch with them and they will not cooperate with clients in any way. They need to STOP taking advantage of people that are asking for help....

my therapist is honestly god sent. i can’t thank nixalys vegas enough for everything she’s provided me with in such a short amount of time (educational tools, support, guidance), all of it. i was honestly starting to give up on therapy because of multiple bad experiences in the past, and i’m really glad i didn’t. but if i’m being completely honest, the betterhelp platform/app absolutely sucks. there’s always some kind of issue with it. it’s ridiculous that it’s something i have to deal with so often while paying weekly just to access an app that barely works. it’s beyond frustrating. if it wasn’t for my therapist, i wouldn’t still be using betterhelp. my last two therapists on here were honestly below mediocre, and if things hadn’t worked out with nixalys that would’ve been it for me and betterhelp.

Betterhelp is easy to use. They have great therapists if you take the time to scroll through and read their bios and choose one who has expertise in your issue. I have referred 3 people to Betterhelp who have also had great experiences.

I’ve been hesitant to start therapy. But BetterHelp made it possible and not as stressful as I thought it would be. I like the convenience of options: txt, phone call or video call. I like the app, how easy it makes scheduling, seeing progress, and above all- privacy. Thank you for the founders for giving access to people in need such as myself. I still have a long journey to go and BetterHelp is right there for me.
