Therapist stopped talking to me, it’s been about 30 days. We had an appointment, I waited but no one showed up ever. And guess what, I still got charged money for that month! 400 for what? To be ignored and left? It’s actually impressive to make zero progress in 10 months.

Took that long to click next next next while answering questions that by the end I gave up, no one ☝️wants to go through that when they are calling out for help, I gave up.some people might but some people need it simpler. I’m a well educated person and I still found it stressful to go through the same old old processes like you would a job interview l, too many questions too much verification just help. Help is what we need. I want to cry at the stress at spending 20 minutes trying to get help. Give up.

I don’t think this platform is designed to truly help people with their mental health… I think it’s designed to con people out of as much money as possible. It needs to be more flexible with its pricing, and my sessions would usually start off with a technical issue which would waste 10 minutes of time. After about 4 sessions I wasn’t feeling any better, felt like it was a waste of time and money, but thought I’d give it one more go - went to book, all slots taken. No refunds allowed for the missed (and automatically billed) sessions. IMO it’s been less than helpful, expensive and has probably made me feel worse than when I first started. 🙃

Try BetterHelp Itll change your life I thought about going to therapy for years but resisted because I was scared, overwhelmed, didnt know where to start and I thought a therapist would tell me all the things that were 'wrong' with me. I finally did take the leap of faith and matched with a therapist through BetterHelp. Its fast to get started, easy to get matched, easy to switch your therapist up if its not 100% a fit and occurs virtually which adds convenience. I actually moved states and was able to keep my same therapist which was a huge bonus. Especially such a transitionary period of my life! If you are on the fence about therapy in general or virtual therapy, take this as your sign to go ahead and give it a shot. You wont regret it!

I have gone through many different versions of therapy and better help is available when I need it and even if I don’t. It’s very nice to know someone is only a phone call or message away to be able to talk to.

I had been considering finding a therapist for a couple of years, and even tried-twice. The area that I live in didn't seem to have what I was hoping to find. After Hurricane Helene, I was extra stressed and a friend told me that BetterHelp was offering a voucher. The voucher allowed me to take a chance on finding a good fit. Turns out they were able to match me with someone that I really like. I also like the convenience of not having to drive anywhere to meet (I thought I would prefer face to face). I'm going to continue with the service now that I see some results.

I know, it seems so convenient, and especially during and shortly after COVID when the waiting lists seemed to be never-ending, Betterhelp seemed like an amazing alternative. Unfortunately, I have not had great experiences with the psychologists here. I was matched quickly, and rematched with help of their pretty helpful customer service, too. But after rematching a few times, and I did really give it a chance trying for multiple sessions, the psychologists just don't seem to be professional. Perhaps the online format just doesn't foster a good connection, I felt misunderstood and judged and like their expertise to help and be neutral was lacking. I'm not sure of the screening process of Betterhelp but I am very much questioning it after my experience with 4 different psychologists on their platform.

The most uncomplicated therapy available. I'm a busy stay at home Mom of two small kids. I don't have a babysitter or a nanny I can call even for doctors appointments or therapy making it even more stressful when I was attending therapy in person with someone. Better help has taken that stress away of having to find someone to watch the two while I run off for 2 hours. I also live in a very small town, and people talk. The second someone sees you going into that therapist door, you will have a phone call from a friend or family member asking if you are okay. Which also added more stress than helpfulness to trying to talk to someone. I love the online journal that you can send to your therapist and they can give you feedback. I used to love journaling and since kids I don't make the time to write about how im feeling which is my best way of expressing myself. The journal gives me reminders to write when I want to. On top of all of that the group therapies, and the different discussions you can attend makes you feel like you are not alone. Which is HUGE. I think so many of us think we are the only ones in that position and that's what makes it so awful, but when you meet other people going through the same thing you are and can talk it out, that makes you feel human again.
