AutoNationReviews of autonation.com

I took my F150 to Autonation Ford Gulf Fwy Houston on 9/9/2020 for a transmission repair and and don’t know if I will ever get it completed still waiting/ flash 12/29/2021 got a call truck is ready for pick up

I bought a used van from them in Ohaire back in January figuring I’d be safe with a national well known brand. I told the salesperson right from the start that I wanted to take it to my mechanic first and he assured me that they have a five day no questions asked money back guarantee which they advertise all over their location and website. He therefore suggested I complete the paperwork and bring it to the mechanic and if there are any issues then I could bring it back. I agreed and took care of the paperwork. When I brought it to the mechanic the next day he found a whole slew of issues so my wife brought it back in to Autonation to take care of the issues or give us our money back. The moment she walked in the salesperson proudly pulled out a paper from his desk and said “you signed” and presented her with a form that they had slipped into the signing papers waiving my right to the five days. Absolutely disgusting. We had no choice but to take the car home and deal with it. We have since spent around $4000 to repair a $7000 car. (Steering pump, air compressor, all brakes, all four tires, door rollers, two sensors, all five spark plugs and a coil) Thank g-d I had bought a warranty that covered a few items or it would have been more like $6000. I posted reviews at the time on various sites and the management called me to apologize for my experience and assure me they would take care of it but that was seemingly just a ploy because they never called back or did anything. I want to take it up with a lawyer before it’s too late but I shouldn’t have to expect that from a national brand like this.

July 2021 purchased and vehicle, paid off the loan established within 14 days and was told that we would be reimbursed for the “Gap Insurance”. It is now end of November 2021 and we have yet to receive the refund. The original Finance Officer failed to return call or emails. It was not until October 1, 2021 did I actually get to speak to a person, whom seemed willing to help and directed me to someone else. The next finance person I spoke to asked for supporting documents, which were sent within 24 hours of 10/23/2021. And on 11/02/2021 received an email stating that the reimbursement should be mailed any day. It is now 11/25/2021 and no reimbursement has been received. When calling the AutoNation/Mesa dealership the inadequate phone system keeps you in rolling queue in which you can press 3 for Finance 3 times before the call drops and you start all over calling. Was able to leave a message asking for a call back two weeks ago and have yet to receive a call back. Very disappointed with this service and would not recommend working with the Mesa Dealership.

The man that i was supposed to speak with, Nick martin was 2/3 hrs late to our appt that was scheduled via phone the day prior at 12;30pm. They did not work with me on anything. to get approved for me and a co signer took about 5/6 hours. I had to wait on the car that I was initially interested in - because they used it as a loner vehicle. told me for hours that it would be "5 more minutes" They tried to get me to sign a deal that was extremely outrageous of an offer - car still never showed up!! kept saying oh well you can go ahead and buy it and just return in 5 days all money back. I left about 7pm at night - still havent even seen the vehicle listed online. Came back next day about 11:30am - car had been broken into prior, the car had been in multiple crashes as seen on vehicle, sensors were on(wouldn't turn off), car pulling to the right - when I was test driving I asked why the car was pulling to the right quite hard and he said oh its probably just the wind. 2014 Hyundai Tuscon. Carfax showed no signs of accidents, but the car showed otherwise. They offered me half of the trade in value i was asking for, they offered me almost double the down payment i had said i was willing to pay, 100 dolars MORE of a car payment i said i wanted to pay. and a 24% INtrest rate(OUTRAGEOUS) Nick Martin texted me directly after i left being rude saying how could i leave after they tried so hard and that's messed up etc etc etc. He barely spoke to me at all through the entire horrible experience besides to say hello when he arrived after being hours late to our appt and while test driving. The office was so unorganized! Auto nation employees and people scattered everywhere. Employees are all in the lobby of the pre-owned department getting on the display motorcycle in the lobby, cussing, yelling, being extremely unprofessional. When I asked someone to explain the finance part of the deal - the sales manager came to me and still couldn't give me any information to help me figure out why the numbers weren't adding up etc. He was not kind and he was short - tried to explain as little as possible. Worst experience ever in a car dealership- AUTO NATION NRH. TX. I went to NISSAN SOUTHWEST IN WEATHERFORD. I told them exactly what I wanted to pay and they worked with exactly just that!!!! They gave me a trade-in value of 1000$$$. INTREST RATE OF 6.2! 4 year warranty. and LESS of a payment each month than i initially asked to have!!!! They didn't push me into making any decisions. They were very straight forward and to the point. They have wonderful warranty opportunities, even on their pre-owned vehicles! They have about 10 dealerships they can pull from as well. Ask for Tyler Weilder!!

To whomever cares: I went in on Friday 10-22-21 to the Autonation Dealership in NorthGlen, CO. I picked a vehicle and proceeded to try and purchase it. It's now 6 days later and I am officially done trying to give Autonation any of my money. My first mistake was assuming that Autonation would work with me when I was already pre-approved with my credit union and just wanted to purchase the vehicle I chose. Apparently the only way they will be willing to sell me the vehicle is if I financed through them. Going back and forth for the last 6 days, jumping through all the hoops they put in front of me trying to get me to finance through them and not use my credit union has finally taken its toll and I will move on. I absolutely loved the vehicle I wanted to buy...my credit union had a check ready to give...but because I wouldn't finance through them they put up every roadblock you could possibly imagine. I have chatted with customer care through the website asking for someone from corporate to contact me (twice), I called the customer care line and was told that I would only get a quick response if I sent an email, I called and left a message for ALL the managers at the dealership to call me back....and the only ones that would are the sales managers (the same ones that aren't trying to help me buy this car). The original salesman George that started with me would never return my calls or texts....when I would finally get him on the phone he would never remember who I was...the sales manager Anthony only called me once....the sales manager Casey became very rude and short with me when I challenged everything reasoning he was giving me as to why we couldn't move forward....ABSOLUTELY THE WORST EVER. I would have never thought that a car dealership would push so hard TO NOT SELL a car!!! I didn't argue about the price...nothing....I came in to see the car I saw online and just wanted to buy....BUT NO. All I can do is complain and let EVERY SINGLE person I know hear about this experience...because literally NO ONE CARES. Hopefully my extremely poor reviews of this place will steer people clear from there.

went there to get a car for my husband. found a car thinking we bought THE CAR. next thing we know, it came with ac issues. went there 2 days later to trade for another car with less mileage and was functioning property . guess what? that money back guarantee is a LIE. they are making us sell the car back to them and we upside down, BECAUSE THEY ARE BUYING THE CAR but wait -$595.00 from what we paid. We have to pay for dealer fees all over again in order to make the trade we are close to $3,000.00 just to trade the car that we bought 2 days ago with mechanical issues. I will never never buy anything AT AUTONATION. don't waste your money and time buying your car at this place.( THEY DON'T RETURN YOUR MONEY.

We paid 3000 for a extended warranty on a used car only to find out it ended at 80,000 miles never could get a copy of it Would never buy a car from them again

I bought an older vehicle there so I could look around for something new since the current market is quite empty. They offered me 60% less than I paid for it when I returned a few weeks later looking to trade it in for a new 2022 model. Should’ve checked here first before buying there.
