BUYER BEWARE!! I purchased a used vehicle from Auto Nation in Lone Tree. The sales portion went well; no complaints. However, I live three hours away and picked up my vehicle and started heading home. I noticed the air in the front left tire was low. When I got back I took my car to my mechanic to put air in the tires. He was unable to put air in the tire as it had "Fix a Flat" product in the new tire. I drove this car over Vail Pass in a snow storm. These types of tire sealants are temporary fixes and not to be driven 175 miles! The lack of disclosure about this put me at risk as there is no spare for this car. My mechanic had to clean out the Fix a Flat material and replace the stem. Managment knew the tire had been flat and a tire sealant product was used as the General Manager had been driving the car and he's the one that got the flat. I found this situation extremely unprofessional. To add insult to injury a few days after this incident I went to start the car and the battery was dead! I was informed that the battery was the original (5 years old) and should have been replaced based on their multi-point inspection process.

Brought in new 2023 BMW 840 i for recall and oil change. Digital key was recalled for repair. Left car entire day as requested, then go to pick it up and find they didn't have the digital key card. I had to schedule another full day repair. Requested a receipt, and spoke to three different people, left message with Jarrod Brown for him to call, and got nowhere. No call back. No receipt. Nor reschedule for repair. Zero. Hung up by someone twice by their "accident". Crazy that they have NO PERSONAL SERVICE. Luxury? Really? It's a JOKE THERE!!!

All was great until my credit card bill…
All was great until my credit card bill came in and they had charged me 18% more than my internet order showed and my invoice showed. No explanation. Not trustworthy. Check pricing carefully. Loved the parts but left bad taste.

I was sold several add-ons with my car…
I was sold several add-ons with my car purchase that were misrepresented, like a tire warranty and 10-service plan package. Both had a time limit that was unrealistic. Both would have been a decent deal if they were what I was told they were. I don't like being misled. Don't be rushed, READ everything. Hayward Toyota, Ca.

Car Falling Apart, LITERALLY After 3 Weeks of Purchase
Last month, I purchased a 2013 Honda Accord from the Volkswagon dealership, in Columbus. During consideration of the purchase, I pointed out that the fender was not attached to the frame of the car. Clearly, the car had front end damage from an accident, (which had not been reported.) I asked if they would make the repair out of due diligence, prior to my purchase. I was told their cars are sold as is and if I wanted it repaired I'd have to pay an additional $100, which would be added into the purchase price of the car. Huh??
This was a safety issue, so why the additional charge for something that should have been repaired by their service department during their standard "120 Point Inspection."
I initially agreed to the repair, but decided that it did not make sense to be charge to repair damage that was already done to the car. After having the car for about 3 weeks, the whole flap/cover from underneath the front end of the car has fallen down, the front bumper has pulled away from the car, exposing bars behind the bumper that's not held together by bolts.
I called and spoke with the Sales Manager to advise him of what was going on. He quickly let me know that it was my fault for not having the work done initially. He said since additional damage has probably been done to the car, it could possibly cost me several hundred dollars to repair, verses the $100 that was initially offered to me.
Sir, this is obviously safety hazard and was clearly was not included in your dealership's "120 Point Inspection."

Appeased by AutoNation Honda Dulles
I felt duped at AutoNation Honda Dulles and I drove over an hour from Annapolis with an appointment for the privilege. Day before yesterday I was browsing the Web for a used Volkswagen CC, a car I once had and loved. I so hate my Honda Accord EXLN (the one you want to date, not marry!) that I was willing to trade down. I get Justin on the phone, who talks the car up as newly arrived, previously bought as VW pre-certified, so it must be in good shape, and how soon do I want to see it? Day after tomorrow, I say. He sets up the appointment, and when he confirms by email, he asks to push it back 2 hours to be sure the car detailed for me; btw, Jorge will be taking care of me. O.K. Then Jorge emails me to confirm too. Next day a manager calls me up personally to confirm too. Sounds pretty good so far, eh? Well, it doesn't end so good.
I get there and Jorge doesn't seem to know who I am or that I have an appointment with him. He goes off to whisper for a bit and comes back saying that he understands all my concerns [really?] and has related them to his manager and is handing me over to Patrick. Patrick wants to start with assessing my car for trade-in. Well, I'd like to see the car I came to see first, to see if I'm interested, say I. This will save you time, replies he; they can do the assessment while we test-drive. I'm thinking, "Why do you get all the info on my car before I get any info on your car?" Skeptical, I give him my license, and my registration, and my keys, and all the car history, but I tell him I feel like he is boxing me in, and I repeat a couple more times that I'd like to see the car first, and he reassures me that he's going to show me the car, and he even pulls out a dealer license plate and puts it on the desk. He whisks away my car keys and his dealer trade-in forms, but then comes back to report that the car is at a body shop a half-hour away. What?!? After all those confirmations of an appointment?!? After I drive over an hour around the Beltway?!? What the heck? By the way, why the heck is it in a body-shop?!? No one disclosed any need of bodywork to me and your Web photo of the car doesn't show any need. Realizing I was had, I demanded my car keys and bailed.
Would you believe that even before I even got home, fuming the whole way back around the Beltway, I got an email message from the General Manager thanking me for my visit and hoping I was satisfied? So I dial him up and say, Your message has to be auto-generated because you must know I just left your showroom cussing? I figured he didn't know, because Honda-automated is what AutoNation looks like to me. Well, he claimed that someone not knowing about my appointment had taken the car to a body shop for repair of minor scratches. He's sorry but he doesn't know how he could make it up to me now. Well since I drove over an hour around the Beltway to see the car, now you drive it to me to see! He says, O.K., let me look into that and call you back. I actually felt appeased. I did, I really did. Then the call comes: Well, it won't be ready before Friday, so let's talk then. Friday? It will take three MORE days to repair "cosmetic" scratches? This all started with Justin on Monday but this car is not sale-ready until Friday? Sounds fishy to me.
P.S. Justin reaches out to me with apologies and extenuations. The car will be back from the shop on Friday and he's ready to drive it out to me in Annapolis as a Home Delivery along with paperwork to sign on the spot if I decide to buy it. Well, I wasn't likely to buy it on sight, but what more could I ask for? So I have to aver that General Manager Aaron and Sales Associate Justin bent over backwards to make it all up to me. I can't vouch for much more, because I kept shopping and found a better deal, so I've never seen the car. But Justin sent me many pretty photos of it and we've wished another well.
