I took my newly purchased Ford Mustang in because the engine light came on. Simple Repairs were made, but the light came back on the next day. A faulty repair caused this second visit. Days later I had a heavy oil leak. This is due again, to their bad repair job. They are refusing to take responsibility even though we all know the truth. I do not recommend Autonation Ford in Fort Worth. They can not be trusted to do a correct repair and do not stand behind their work. A week later Mike Parker, the service manager contacted me and kept me informed through this last repair. He listened to my concerns and was responsive and informed about necessary repairs. He was kind, funny and respectful. I was very appreciative of his time and knowledge.

There is a cover and special seal/gasket that goes over the timing chain. It is labor intensive and thus costly. The original seal/gasket lasted 16 years and 146,000 miles. The seal/gasket was replaced by Autonation and it lasted 3 years and 8,000 miles. They have a warranty for 1 year/12,000 miles. I told them they should replace the seal/gasket essentially for free but they did not because the warranty was for 1 year max. So I am out about $1500. These seal/gaskets should last 150,000 miles. After talking with a much better service advisor two days later, the entire cost of the new seal/gasket was refunded to me. In all honesty, I have to change my rating from one star to four stars

very pleasant car buying experience. No hasssle or pressure. Just walked the lot with sales Rep and he answered any questions we had. Was not pushed to one car or another just let us look and decide what would fit our needs best.
