Having been a previous customer of Bright House for my Wifi. I can honestly say that my AT&T Wifi blows them off the charts. Not o my is the connection stronger, I can walk through the neighborhood and still be connected to my wifi. Thank you At&t, you've made my teenage son extremely happyNd that makes me a happy mama.

I tried to get AT&T to hook up phone service in my Mom's new assisted living facility. I am running right back to Time Warner Cable for her phone needs, and I left *them* in the first place because they completely dropped the ball on transferring her service. They had one job, show up on time and transfer the service. They failed oh-so-badly. AT&T was worse. Promises were made and deadlines passed. Every time I went to the phone for technical support I was asked for different credentials on the account. Again and again I called either to get my service hooked up or, comically, to get my old number ported over to AT&T. Each time the story was different on why that was not possible. I just wanted a phone hookup for my Mom. No internet, no cable, just a regular phone. You know, one of those things you talk into so someone else somewhere else can hear you. That old fashioned thing that AT&T used to do all the time. Remember those? My mom does. One time, and I have to laugh about this now, the nice lady in the support center took my information, and once she got it verified, she was ready to send me an email summary of the support call. WHAT SUPPORT?!? I JUST GOT ON THE PHONE! AAAAH! Another time, after more than *45 minutes* of working with the tech support person to get this *brand new service* hooked up, she asked me if I had a bill I could refer to. Really? You bill customers before even getting the service hooked up? You can do that? Who knew! The last straw was when I finally got confirmation from them that the service was _finally_ working, I went to the phone (which is functional, hooked up with a cable I verified works, into a jack that worked for the previous tenant) and, yep, you guessed it It didn't work. The phone's LCD screen said 'Check tel line'. I know better than to have one of their technicians come out and check the line. With the level of incompetence I have just endured, there is no telling *what* might happen. I'm gonna get mom two tin cans and a string. Where is AT&T Hiring their support staff nowadays? Unbelievable. Wish I could give 0 stars.

The only speed they had available for me was 1.5 Mb/sec. It wasn't fast enough for streaming Amazon Prime videos (but it was fast enough for Netflix). In the end, I wouldn't have saved enough money to justify such slow speeds and inconvenience, so I cancelled during the trial period.

I will say the service, overall was good, except the person signing me up originally could have stopped the problems before they started with one simple question. If he asked me if I already had a phone line, it would have preempted my entire issue. Anyway, the installer and the service person on the phone got me worked out. I had internet previously at a former address which was cable based and did not realize I needed a phone line for internet service in this new location. I haven't had a home phone in decades.

The customer service people and the technicians were very helpful during my setup phase of my DSL service. The company's database, website, and management services needs a lot of work. I was supposed to get service on a Thursday and one week later I am still dealing with the company over order issues and service interruptions. Apparently the apartment complex I live at has a address coding that the company's website and database won't accept and on top of that the line boxes that feed our apartments are not labeled with the correct building letters (example I am building C but the box I am on is F). Thankfully the technician came out and got everything squared away, although he had to come out 2 days in a row due to "technical issues" at corporate. AT&T needs to work more on communication between branches in their company. DSL service though has been reliable since.

I changed to AT&T for the High speed Internet, what a waste of time and money. I can't even watch Netflix without being kicked off. And it took 12 or more different phone calls just to get the initial setup appointment, that was the red flag right there.
