Customer service is good for general questions. However, they won’t commit to certain questions and will answer with a lot of jargon. Insurance does not cover much. $3,500 deductible and $900 a month and work for a company that makes billions of dollars yearly. Everything needs to be preauthorized or predetermined. X-rays, cortisone shots, Ancupuncture, PT as well as minor procedures and surgeries. Cancer care is limited. If you get a life threatening disease, you die.

Today is my first day of Anthem and their live chat has taken 2 agents and several hours to NOT answer a simple quesiton about a hospital being in network or not. I cant belive this kind of company exists!!!! I was on united health care and highly highly recommend their service..this is the worst company in my experienc4...

There was a young lady, Desire, in customer service that took my call today. WOW! She was awesome. After multiple calls over a few weeks, she answered today and gave me all the information I was looking for plus! And she was so dang pleasant, it threw me a second. Thank you Ms. Desire in customer service for answering my call today! You helped with more than information. You gave me direction to make my livelihood so much better to get help I need.

I went to renew my thyroid medicine prescription when I first got Anthem. They would not cover it until I got a pre-authorization. I had to pay my first prescription out of pocket. When I called to see how much their mail-order pharmacy, they could not give me a specific answer but instead a price range of something like $90-175. Their website chat is all AI and never gives me the answers I seek. Their messaging is only slightly better than worthless. I received something like a four-page answer that only cut and paste the same confusing information from the website, despite asking my question very specifically. I am beyond frustrated.

Don't have to say much here. Look at their rating and they still are doing the same sinister unethical and blatantly disregarding level of care that anyone that has the word health care anywhere close to their name should be against the law. I would not be able to sleep at night if I worked for Anthem and I would not want to be anywhere close when their Karma comes around and it will. There is a special place in H!@# for companies like Anthem. There is nothing you can say Anthem to make what you do right so give up and stop ruining peoples lives.

I would give a zero if I could. I was officially diagnosed with Endometriosis when I was 18. I have had multiple surgeries and multiple medicines for it. I am now 45 and in so much pain every day. My periods are out of control. My Dr. wants to do a hysterectomy and Endometriosis removal to help control this disease. Anthem denied it because they feel I do not need it, correction, there team of doctors who has never met me or treated me, feels I do not need it. Apparently, my body, not my choice. They denied it 4 days before the surgery. My Dr. then got documentation and clinical notes together and sent it in to be expedited. At that time, it could take 72 hours, and the surgery is scheduled in 48. Day before and still no decision by this team. I am stressed, in tears, and Anthem could care less. A team of Dr's will determine if the surgery my Dr recommended is medically appropriate to treat a disease that is incredibly painful and impacts my daily life. I do not know if they will make a decision before the surgery or I need to cancel the surgery and just live in pain until it gets to the point, I am in the emergency room.

If u get percition that is agenst there views they don't cover,come on if it will help someone fill the perception, changing insurance components
