I am simply trying to file claims for my FSA. Anthem is denying them even when they have 100% of the information they request. Anthem is stealing FSA money from people and they need to be investigated for this activity. Imagine all the $$ that people are not fighting for, just taking the poor, inaccurate and thieving word from Anthem. It's illegal and it's wrong.

I need non-invasive spine surgery. Anthem had over 100 orthopedics lised in their directory when I enrolled. Now there ae NO orthopedic doctors. The listings have not been updated by Anthem. There is an 8 month wait list to see other specialists. By the time those appointments approached, the doctors dopped out of the network. Insurance with no care !

I have used Anthem for many years, but give up now. Most of the good providers’ have left and do not accept Anthem, they say because Anthem pays so little. Also the Dental insurance is awful, Anthem covers almost nothing. In the list of Dental providers almost half of them do not accept Anthem any more (I do not know why anthem does not update their list of providers). In dental the only providers left are the Groups designed for welfare patients with doctors and equipment designed accordingly.

Biggest scam in the world. Pay huge premiums all year and when you need care, they deny your claim. And what can you do? Hire a lawyer to fight their legal team your premiums pay for. Legal robbery!

As a provider, I can tell you that Anthem?Blue Cross of Missouri SUCKS. They don't pay anything, they don't explain anything. They constantly hang up on you on the phone or on chat. They deny coverage for no reason even when it's pre-approved. They do this on purpose in order to frustrate people into giving up on collecting payments, and it works. It takes around 10 hours of work to collect on $7.00. I hope they go bankrupt soon and collapse so that they can no longer victimize people for profit.

Formal Complaint Regarding Customer Service and Provider Credentialing Issue I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the customer service I received while attempting to obtain assistance with finding an in-network provider. I selected a provider directly from Anthem’s provider directory. The provider was listed as participating in my network and was the first provider shown on the list. When I contacted Anthem for assistance, I was informed by the representative that I needed to contact the provider myself regarding a credentialing update. I explained that this was not my responsibility, as Anthem provided the provider information and represented the provider as participating in the network. As a member, I rely on Anthem’s provider directory to be accurate and up to date. It is unreasonable to expect members to verify provider credentialing information that should already be maintained between Anthem and its network providers. When I requested to speak with a supervisor, the representative stated that she would contact the provider herself and placed me on hold. I remained on hold for an excessive amount of time without receiving an update or resolution. The delay was so significant that I was able to complete several household tasks and still had not received assistance. This experience demonstrated a lack of professionalism, poor communication, and a disregard for members’ time. I am extremely disappointed in the level of customer service I received. I expect Anthem to maintain accurate provider information, provide timely assistance to members, and ensure that representatives take ownership of issues rather than shifting responsibility to members. I request that this complaint be reviewed and that Anthem provide an explanation of how this situation occurred, what steps will be taken to improve provider directory accuracy, and how future customer service concerns will be addressed

I went to go refill some of my meds and one of them was no problem the other they are refusing to refill because they only cover 20 pills every 30 days. I called the insurance company to override it because obviously I’ve had a major surgery. I need that medication. So some background on this… Toradol is a nonsteroidial anti-inflammatory medication. It is non-narcotic and works a whole lot better than most of the medications that are given for pain. anthem only covers the 20 pills every 30 days apparently. So in my frustration, I called and asked well why? They couldn’t give me a solid answer and kept going in circles. I explained to them per my chart that they were looking at, that I had just had a reverse total shoulder replacement that would require me to have a pretty large plethora of medication. You would think they would fight us over the narcotics, but instead, they’re fighting us over an NSAID. the medication refill isn’t cheap so Blue Cross told me “you can pay for it out-of-pocket and we will reimburse you if we approve it.” they’ve also told me that they can’t confirm that I’ve had the surgery so they can’t just approve the medication. My surgeon can then write them a letter. It would take up to eight days for them to approve it… I’m pretty sure if I’m calling you to complain about you not approving a medication it’s needed yesterday not when you deem it necessary to approve a claim. I can not afford this med out of pocket. Anthem is terrible.
