I recently purchased a pdp 2 leg hi hat stand and works and fits perfect for double bass pedal and I just purchased a pdp double bass pedal and its fast and smooth I don't have any complaints the company has been good to me I will definitely continue doing business with them.

On 6/4/2023 I went to make a purchase for some Headphones, later that evening it was cancelled stating that I had a "write off"for 8 dollars.( I had a Rock Star status- meaning I make on time payments and have a Purchasing history with AMS. I called this morning and was told by Accounting and Customer service they don't see a write and sent me to "Collections" I spoke with a Jason E in collections who the stated to my surprise that I had a balance of $70.00 dollars for a purchase they have on record for 2 items in May 2022. The last time I made a purchase from AMS was in August 2022 which the Item was returned. I requested to speak with a supervisor because Jason E was obnoxiously rude. Steve the Collections Supervisor got on the phone and stated he would Look at the SS# because the purchase came from my address with my name but had a different email address. After some digging I found that My Son who is a Junior, shares the same name and has his own account with AMS made a purchase in May 2022 and defaulted on his payments. I received a follow up email from Jason E from collections that read "They were taking the money out of my account "with out my authorization to pay for my sons account. Jason said "I took the money and we're not refunding it." I expect a refund of my funds for taking money out of my account with out my Authorization.Unauthorized withdrawals would typically be considered unauthorized transactions, which can be illegal and may constitute fraud or a violation of consumer protection laws.

Truly disappointed in AMS. I ordered a guitar from them. When I received the guitar one of the tuning machines did not work. When I first called, they said to send it back and that they would resend a new guitar when they received confirmation from UPS that the package had been shipped. I was instructed to call them when I dropped off. I did and they confirmed that the guitar was received. I was told they would be shipped. Later, I received a call telling me that they could not exchange and that it would need to be treated as a return, but I could go ahead and repurchase the guitar, without receiving my refund. They said it would take 3-5 business days to "process", then the refund would be another 7-10 days to receive the refund. The call center was extremely unhelpful and offered no solutions. I should have stuck with Sweetwater, they have always gone above and beyond. Not like AMS who didn't seem to care.

I’ve ordered many items from AMS. I’ve never had a problem. I’m a 5 yr customer. I did send a Vox amp (30 watt 2x12 combo). There was no problem replacing. I called on Friday, sent back Friday. The following Friday night I was jamming. I’ve purchased some nice stuff from ams.

I purchased from AMS many times. I never had an issue or problem. However, my last purchase was horrible. I opened the item up and noticed stains on the metal and after I plugged it in, there was a constant loud noise, similar to when you first place a guitar into an amp. They are unwilling to receive the return. They told me to contact the manufacturer. I did contact the manufacturer and they told me to contact AMS. As others have said, zZounds and AMS are the same company, and I will never use them again. It's better to use a company like Sweetwater or find a shop in your state that sells the gear you want. I've had issues with gear bought at my local store, and even though it was a legitimate manufacturing issue, they took the item back.

I've bought one thing. It was broken. I received a code for $20 off $100 after that though. I will have to agree with the others on here because I went thru the same thing as far as the false advertisement and shady business practices. I've never seen a business that is this unorganized and that blatantly lies like this company does. Incidentally, AMERICAN MUSICAL SUPPLY AND zZOUNDS IS THE SAME COMPANY, HAS THE SAME NEGATIVE 2.2 STARS, AND THE SAME COMPLAINTS! I feel people need to beware of this and not fall for the same company with a different name. They have the exact same issues and the exact same false advertisement.

The website is still the worst, won't let me see my account info when I sign in, I've complained more than once, but nothing changes, made a mistake buying my equipment from this company, won't make same mistake again
