I wanted to love my Albany Park couch…
I wanted to love my Albany Park couch because the design is beautiful and the modular concept is convenient, but my experience with both the product quality and customer service has been disappointing. Aside from it not being the comfiest couch… One of the cushion cover zippers came apart during normal use/cleaning after only being washed twice on delicate. This was not normal wear and tear. It appeared to be a zipper defect. Since Albany Park advertises removable and cleanable cushions, I expected the materials and hardware to hold up under very basic care. What was most frustrating was the warranty experience. Although the company promotes a lifetime warranty, customer service declined to replace a single cushion cover and repeatedly categorized the issue as washing damage rather than considering the possibility of a manufacturing defect. Their explanation shifted from “wear and tear” to “washing stress,” despite the zipper failing in a way that seems inconsistent with ordinary delicate washing. For a premium-priced couch, I expected better durability and more accountability, especially for a replacement that seems relatively simple. The couch looks nice, but based on my experience, the warranty does not provide the reassurance the brand suggests.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience in such detail. I’m really sorry to hear that your couch hasn’t met expectations—especially given how important comfort, durability, and confidence in our warranty are. What you described with the zipper does not sound like the experience we want for our customers, particularly with normal care and limited washing. I also understand how frustrating it must have been to feel like your concern wasn’t fully considered during the warranty review. We’d like to take another look at this for you. If you’re open to it, please reach back out to us at [email protected] to review again and reassess whether this may be a defect and determine the best path forward. We truly appreciate your feedback—it helps us improve both our product and how we support our customers. I’m sorry again for the frustration this has caused and hope we can make this right.
