Their cheap flights (SAVER) is a money grab. Trying to change or cancel a flight means you may get 50% back. To be able to change or cancel you have to pay more for a ticket. So basically, they don't have cheap flights. Pretty sure they make a ton of money keeping half the fare when people have to cancel or change flights. Southwest Airlines is very accommodating. Maybe they should learn from them. It will be a cold day in hell before I every book with Alaska Airlines.

I bought my adult kids a ticket from SEA-KOA. I got the seats months a head of time so they could each have a window seat. They took my daughter's seat without asking and gave her a middle seat. Not cool Alaska.

To date, I have flown Alaska and Horizon Airlines 967,722 miles. I am almost to the 1 Million Mile mark. To say I am disappointed in these companies is an understatement. Everyone I know is saying "Alaska is losing it" "They are just not the same" I agree. Two back to back weeks with two back to back cancellations for "Maintenance" same route, same deal. Had to actually drive to make my meeting and the following week, had to completely miss my meeting as I rescheduled after I was rebooked, and then that flight was cancelled. My compensation....$100 flight credit after I had to spend $240 on a hotel and had almost $200 in gas the week before when I drove. I am losing faith in an airline I have been so loyal to. Once I achieve my status, I will be Alaska Gold for life. This is when I think I will be looking for other options as I have noting to lose. So completely disappointing that I can not longer count on them.

We have been using Alaska Air Cargo to transport fresh herbs on a regular basis. Unfortunately, delays and flight cancellations have occurred repeatedly. This is not an isolated incident or a one-time inconvenience. The recurring service disruptions have created significant problems for our business and our customers. Our current shipment contains fresh herbs, which are highly perishable and extremely time-sensitive. The shipment was scheduled to arrive in Reno (RNO) on Tuesday 9/8/2026, but the flight has been canceled repeatedly and, as of today 9/10, the shipment still has not arrived. Every additional delay increases the risk of spoilage and loss of the entire shipment. These delays also affect our ability to fulfill customer orders and can result in lost sales and damage to our business relationships. We contacted Alaska Air Cargo by telephone to seek assistance, but we were unable to obtain a meaningful solution or guanrantee about when the shipment would actually arrive. For a commercial customer shipping perishable products, this level of service and communication is unacceptable. The most concerning issue is that this has happened repeatedly. We have continued using Alaska Air Cargo because we need reliable air transportation for our fresh products, but the recurring cancellations and delays have made it increasingly difficult to depend on the service. We hope Alaska Air Cargo will take this comment seriously and recognize that transporting perishable commercial products requires reliable scheduling, proper handling, and timely communication.

Since the merger of Alaska with Hawaiian the move has destroyed both airlines ability to provide on time service and in flight quality features. It’s a mess. We use to easily travel comfortably between KOA and SJO but Alaska cut direct flights and now we continue to be rerouted to Oahu - Honolulu which we have always tried to avoid. The HNL airport experience is the worst in the nation. Currently sitting on a plane on the tarmac due to only one Option to land - this causes an Ongoing delay and cancelation of our flight out.

Missed our flight and they helped get back on track and didn’t charge extra from now on only flying alaska

I've been a frequent flyer and Alaska mileage plan member for over 20 years. I have status on multiple airlines. Alaska is the worst as far as on time departures. They're terrible at assimilating acquisitions and their customers feel the brunt. They rely on forgiveness rather than service.

Checked my bag with them and they gave me back a nearly empty bag. They denied reimbursing me even after filing a claim with them and completing tedious paperwork. They also lost my friend's stroller when she flew with Alaska Airlines. Don't check your bags or items with Alaska Airlines. They may lose your stuff and won't rectify the situation or even give a refund on the checked bag fee. I will never be flying with Alaska Airlines again.
