Only having been on Medicaid and Medicare for just under 1 year, which is the result of my neurological disability, I was not/am not yet very familiar with it all. Unfortunately, this leaves me to entrusting even 1 of these companies to do what is right and honest for people; such as myself. In the beginning, I chose AETNA as my part D. This month; which is selection and enrollment time for insurance, my phone and mail start getting bombarded to the point of harassment. This companies damned sales sharks; who promised they had nothing other than helping make my medical finances and care options as their goal, and pulled out every line of sale crap that they could. Also, they even promised to be able to add hearing and vision to my care plan without causing more expense out of my already short monthly limited income. ALL MISLEADING SALES BULL CRAP AND LIES!!! Here is the HUGE violation and lie....I told the one female sales con, that "I do not want, nor will I ever allow to have ANY control and dealings taken out of the hands of strictly MY GOVERNMENT MEDICARE OR MEDICAID. In any sense nor fashion!!! Well, this female sales con artist, went against my very direct and clear statement, and mislead me into one of their HMO plans; which did vive me the vision coverage that I do need badly, and I fell for it!!! After I further investigated both HMO and PPO, and found that these do deprive people of honest medicaid and medicare guidelines, lower rates, benefits, and honesty!!! I spent hours getting this halted and to keep my coverage as is with solely and directly our government health care. Just DO NOT FALL FOR ANYTHING THESE SALES PEOPLE SAY. IF IN DOUBT AND NEEDING ADVICE/HELP, CONTACT MEDICAID/MEDICARE!!!

Customer Service plays you - I had to call 10 times spending hours on the phone because they kept setting up my primary care doctor incorrectly which would eventually result in unpaid claims. I got reference numbers each time and to no avail - finally demanding Aetna to call the PC office to see why they couldn't attach my family to the right office this was over the course of 4 months. Very very disappointed and I haven't even used this medical insurance yet. Asked Aetna representative multiple times for a supervisor and 3 way calls - one representative outright lied to me by saying he spoke to someone at the office - he gave me a reference and name - when I immediately called the office there wasn't a person at that office by the name he gave me. Lying is unacceptable.

Absolutely awful. This company should not be in business. Processing claims takes an eternity. The reps are unresponsive and uninformed. Even finding in-network providers is an absolute pain and I live in a major metro. This org is borderline criminal. Your odds of dying are literally greater if this is your insurance provider.

Worst Experience of my LIFE! I bought a plan in January, paid and all, by the end of February I had heard nothing back. I called and they had no idea who I was. Im medically fragile and their member services department almost hospitilized me because of their incompetence. It took over a week to untangle what was happening and fix it. “SF” was the absolute worst person to deal with in billing and just sent emails with no actual information and just empty and condescending apologies. Worst experience with insurance I have ever had and I refuse to ever go back. Their unorganization almost led to me being financially and emotionally ruined. Jerks.

Aetna ABSOLUTELY denies medically necessary major back survery and medically necessary post op pain meds one all ridiculous appeals have been done in order for the surgery to finally be approved. And rep had the audacity to suggest we just pay out of pocket if we really want those pain meds... They hide behind the guise of managed care when it is really controlled care based on the bottom line i.e. $$$$.

Aetna customer service reps suck!! They are very ignorant and rude!! And it's mostly the black people they have working for them!! Everyone else seems to be ok! Get rid of the ignorant reps you have working for you! They're giving Aetna a really bad name! If you can't do your job correctly find another job! A job where they put up with your b.s.! Not being racist so don't get your panties in a twist! Just being completely honest!! If I could give a big fat zero for their very poor attitude they would get a big fat zero!!

There horrible. They put me in the program with our telling me and when I could not get my meds the pharmacy said I had to call them. I did and was informed that I owed them money. I'm on a very low income. I had to pay them.. After I borrowed the money and paid them I still can't get my meds. I was told I would owe them every month. I received 4 letters today none with a card. When I called and asked them why it went up to $40.40 a month now . The person kept laughing at me. I asked for his supervisor 5 times and he would not let me talk to them. I would never recomend them. .

I keep getting calls from Aetna, even on a weekend just like today. I have been in the hospital a few times and they think they have to keep calling me about things. I had agreed to a nurse visit via telehealth just to get them to stop calling, then tried to cancel it and received texts all day about it. Apparently I now have someone else who feels the need to call me. She says she is my case manager!!?? I am not feeling well, am very stressed and also preparing to move. This needs to STOP!!
