Do not visit store #09238 in Gainesville, Fl. I called to check on a warranty to replace my battery and they said it was still under warranty. I went to the store and worked with someone who disappeared for about 20 minutes. He showed back up after someone else was helping me to agree that the warranty was still good. I wasted an hour finally getting it resolved and they agreed the system was at fault and went to replace the battery. Upon taking my battery out to replace, they realized it was the wrong size battery and said I’d have to buy a new battery. Even though it’s still under warranty? Even though it was in their system? Even after rectifying the situation and wasting my time? DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! Terrible service and management. Waste of time and money

I went into the store because my alarm and my truck wasn't activating, due to getting wet from rain,windows left down,I thought a fuse was all I needed,the gm ,his name is zane,came out the store with testing tools and proceeded to find out exactly what it was,he was very professional and knowledgeable, I really appreciated the attention to detail and walking me through the problems.

Went to Advance Auto on 09 June 24 on 8630 US-301, Riverview, FL 33578 with an issue with my car battery which was still under warrantee. I explained to them that we had to jump the battery and that I had it on a charger that gave me a fault. They hooked it up to their worthless diagnostic and said then battery was good and they wouldn't warrantee it. After losing my cool, I took it a O'Reilly's. They did a proper diagnostic and found the battery had a bad cell. I paid around $250 for the battery at advance auto which was still on warrantee and had to buy another one from a O'Reilly's, again having to spend another $250 to replace a battery from Advance Auto that was less than a year old. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING, ESPECIALLY AUTO BATTERIES from Advance Auto. They have no clue or honor

6/17/24 Gloria at Prairie Ave. I took in an online order to return because even though it said online it would fit my truck, it does not. Gloria said I needed a barcode to return, logged into account on phone and pulled up the order that had a bar code. She could not get the order to pull up so said I had to come back in morning to let her manager take care of it. Told her I would not that I lived out in the country on other side of town. She kept insisting there was nothing she could do and I needed to come back in the morning. I asked if she was going to reimburse me for my time and gas and she chuckled and said no. I told her I was not coming back in the morning and to call someone to figure out how to return it. She said no and that she was refusing me service and I needed to leave. I told her I would be contacting corporate about all of this. I told her that we have been long time customers and have spent a lot of money at this store and we would not be shopping with Advance Auto every again. She stated well I’ve been here for 3 years and I have never seen you. I replied, well (named a specific prior employee) that used to work here years ago and before I could finish Gloria shouted out oh you mean the one who got fired for stealing. Did she just really say that to me? I then asked her for her name because she wasn’t wearing a name tag. She yelled back that she didn’t have information for corporate. I said I didn’t ask you for corporate info I asked for your name. In which then she gave me. She then told me to leave again in which I did and stated that it shouldn’t be a hassle for me because she doesn’t know how to do her job. I went to the 4th street store and showed them the exact information I showed Gloria and they had no trouble doing the return. Upon leaving the store the lady cashier asked me if I was the one who tried to do a return at the Prairie Ave store. Apparently Gloria called over there and told them I was trying to do a fake return, that the information I had was not valid. How dare her talk about me like that. Mike at the 4th street store and the lady that was there were very kind and professional.

I never worked there, but I was looking for a replacement letter for my GMC Acaidia. I called first and spoke with a woman, from the 50th st location in Tampa to see IF they carried my missing letter. I was told by the woman that they DID carry my missing M for my GRILL. I got ALL the way over there and not only didnt they have my item, but the female lied and said she never spoke with me! I showed the manager my outgoing call log off my phone with THERE number on top! So the manager was cool with me but confirmed they only carry the smaller letters. This is Total incompetence!

I have always had very friendly and helpful customer service at the Country Club Road location in Winston-Salem, NC. I want to say that Kate is a credit to this store. I needed advice on products and procedures that I had no knowledge of, and she took the time to come out and look at my car issues before I proceeded and then midway through the process. She really helped me and my car and I are both happy customers!

I have nothing bad to say about the Inverness, Homosassa or Crystal river store 100% satisfied. The Beverly Hills store tho just one thing. My wife went to purchase a brand new battery. Well since we never had issues with any of these stores, we felt we didn’t have to check anything. We hook up the battery to a 06 Chrysler 300 Limited edition and the car is not starting so my wife brings it back in. She notices a sticker on the side of the battery that said 10/23. So instead of them just swapping out the battery the kid tells her that it just needs to be recharged and there’s probably alternator or starter issues with the car!!! (Really??!) My wife immediately said why the hell would I want to charge a brand new battery? Just give me a new battery, maybe they got new people there I don’t know. That has to stop or I’ll just go back to Crystal River, Inverness and Homosassa.

Need two license plate bolts. $5? No, I need two license plate bolts. So the guy at 5125 Keystone says nope all we have is the $5 pack. Well, the website says Girls School has what I want and what I need for .32 each can you get them to bring them here? No. So I call Girls School direct and they won't transfer either but they have them. Looks like rip off or drive literally across town for less than a dollar something every auto parts store should have on hand.
