36 Days of Frustration
36 Days of Frustration – Avoid StorkPump & Adapt Health if You Value Your Sanity My experience with StorkPump and Adapt Health has been a nightmare from start to finish. At the hospital, my doctor signed my breast pump order and told me to send it to the number at the top of the form. I did exactly that and expected the pump to arrive within a week. A week later, I checked — nothing had arrived. That’s when I found out they had my insurance information wrong. It took at least six back-and-forth calls and far too many wasted minutes before they “fixed” it. Their process is outdated and clumsy. You can’t simply update information online or securely over email; instead, they insist on faxing documents like it’s the 1980s. I understand PHI concerns, but there are encrypted and secure methods that are faster and more reliable. Insisting on faxing is not just outdated — it’s a sign they are behind the times and don’t value customer experience. When I finally got past that, they told me to pick a pump. I chose one and was told it would arrive in three days. A week later — nothing. When I called, I was told they didn’t even have that product in stock. Why would your agent offer it in the first place if it’s unavailable? I canceled and placed another order. Again, they promised three days. Again, I waited a week with no delivery. When I called, I got the same excuse: “backordered.” Canceling that order took another four days. Now, 36 days later, I’m still without a breast pump and faced with the choice of either starting over with them, finding another company through my insurance, or taking legal action. This process has been exhausting, unprofessional, and completely lacking in care for new mothers who are already under enough stress. If you value your time, your sanity, and your ability to get essential equipment when you need it — look elsewhere.
