This is my first pellet grill and I'm amazed at how easy it was to assemble. Better yet, how it smokes and grills! I grilled some burgers and dogs first with the hickory pellets. They were delicious...nice smoky flavor without being too heavy. The next day I smoked a brisket. Once seasoned, the smoker was easy to use, and the two probes made it so easy to keep an eye on the temperature. The brisket came out fabulous. The customer service is outstanding. They are very helpfull and easy to contact. I highly recommend the Z Grill!

Zgrill Blind Box
Decided to give one of the Zgrill Blind Boxes a chance. Overall build quality is very good and assembly while a lot of steps is not complicated. The model I recieved was in the middle of the range of grills that you could potentially get so they do not just send everyone the cheapest unit. Once assembled the fit and finish of the grill is outstanding! Very satisfied customer!

Great Product & Customer Service
I was hesitant to make such a large purchase online and especially nervous when I had a problem, but the folks at ZGrills were amazing. They responded to my telephone message promptly and courteously. When the issue could not be corrected over the phone, they replaced the part promptly and without question. The grill is perfect. I've smoked ribs, brisket and chicken and it works flawlessly. It holds a consistent temperature from 180° - 350°, which is the highest setting I've used to date. I couldn't be happier with the product and the customer service.

We purchased a z grill about a year ago…
We purchased a z grill about a year ago and we have loved having it, no problems until about a month ago. Then the smoker began having an issue with catching fire when above a certain temp. We tried cleaning it and a few other troubleshoot ideas but still was not working properly. I contacted the customer service and after confirming my purchase they had a brand new smoker in the mail to us. It was received quickly and I was satisfied with the outcome. We haven't put the new one together yet but hoping no problems will occur. I was mainly impressed with the polite and responsive customer service.

Worst purchase ever!!
Worst purchase ever!!! I decided to replace Hubs old smoker/grill for a Father's day gift and purchased a Blind Box. I received a ZPG-550B2, the lowest model they make and apparently the newest so extra parts are not available (according to support) in a very timely manner, however it was damaged at the time of receipt (I'm assuming due to poor care during shipping). It's obvious it was dropped as it is dented in several places. I immediately called customer service and was told that the damage could cause integrity issues to the paint and cause corrosion to email support and they would gladly take care of it. I emailed support and told them of the damage, the response I received was that the grill is so new that replacement parts are unavailable and they were offering me $50 credit or 2 bags of pellets. Before I answered I discovered that the auger sticks and does not drop pellets thus no smoke. I followed the initial start up to the letter to make sure I was doing everything correct. I informed them of this issue and was told to follow certain steps to trouble shoot...again I followed instructions and it still didn't work. I then realized the temperature would not regulate...again troubleshooting instructions which O followed again. I have now had at least 20 emails in the past month trying to get this resolved and they have now decided they are willing to send me a new temperature control unit. Sure, this may solve the temperature regulation issue but does not solve the auger sticking and not working properly, the fact I get no smoke, and the dents on the hopper, lid, and bottom containment unit. When I pointed this out they stopped responding to my emails immediately (I was in a conversation the was only a few minutes in between responses and then suddenly nothing). I am sincerely disappointed in both the grill/smoker and the customer service I have received. After a month of trying to resolve the issues I am at my breaking point and want my $400 + back.....Oh, and when I asked about returning it I was told "If you want to return, we are sorry to tell you that according to our return policy, all merchandise must be unused, unassembled, and returned in the original packaging and we will charge you $90 freight fees." Buyer Beware...this company obviously does not care about it's customers!!!

Our first pellet grill, and we are impressed!
This review is for the ZPG-700D. About four months ago we started looking into pellet grills. The primary reason is that we were moving, and no longer had natural gas for our grill. I did not feel like dealing with propane, or charcoal. So, we started doing some research and learned of Z Grills in Consumer Reports. It was not a top scorer, but it was recommended, primarily for “evenness of heating and indirect cooking.” One feature that we particularly like was the enclosed base with doors. It also has a very attractive price point. Being our first pellet grill, we liked the idea of being economical on our first purchase (maybe we won’t like pellet grilling).
So we ordered the 700D and started our impatient wait. I used this time to read (on-line) documentation and watch YouTube videos on the Z Grill, and pellet cooking in general. My wife started lining up recipes. I also bought some inexpensive pellets from Walmart (Expert Grilling and Smoking Pellets, 20 Pounds $6.88), as I did not want to waste my “expensive” pellets on the hour-long burn-in process.
Our grill arrives and my wife and I eagerly start putting it together. We had no trouble following the printed instructions, and while one person could do it, two made it easier, especially when we lifted the grill chamber onto the base assembly.
We did have two problems:
1. When we unpacked the large main grill, we noticed that the porcelain coating was chipped in two places, exposing the bare metal of the grate.
2. When it came time to attach the hopper to the chamber, one set of bolt and gasket was missing.
And this is where Z Grills began to shine, and really made us fans. We called customer service and were told the parts would be sent to us. We were also told that it would be OK to use the grill with the chipped grate and missing screw (the chips were easily avoided and three screws would do for now). The customer service was great, and gave us confidence in our selection of Z Grills.
So we complete the initial firing and burn-in process (max temperature I saw was 456 degrees, which might be just enough to sear), and then cooked our first meal. Wow, so good. I can’t believe I was skeptical about cooking/grilling with pellets!
Oh, and about those “inexpensive” pellets… Well, I have nothing to compare them to, yet, as they have been working fine for all our meals. The “expensive” pellets are from a well-known grill maker that starts with the letter T. They are about $20 for 20 pounds. I don’t know if this review can be edited/updated, but when I open that other bag of pellets, I’ll try to edit/update this review (even though this isn’t a “pellet” review).
One other thing. You can buy disposable foil liners for the drip bucket, but we found and old pickle jar works even better, as it’s zero cost, has a wide mouth and is sealable. Chances are, if you look around your kitchen, you’ll find other things to use, i.e. to-go food containers. Just be aware that the drip bucket is right next to the chamber, so it does get hot. Make sure what you use doesn’t melt.
Oh, and the parts have arrived, so I truly believe Z Grills stands behind their product(s).
Thanks for reading.

6002B2 Blind box...AMAZING!
I received the Blind Box and got the 6002B2. The package arrived quickly and in good shape. Everything was packed in the box very precisely, almost like some engineering went into how to more effectively pack everything in there (no wasted space). It took me about 45 minutes to install by myself. The only part that was not clear was how to route the wires for the probe/PID connections. A call to customer service quickly answered my question. Getting this thing "burned in" for the first time was a snap. Followed provided instructions to the T.
My first cook was burgers and dogs. I set it on the high setting. From what I can tell, the hottest it got was around 475 (but I didn't have the sear plate open). Made fast work of the food. The burgers were SO juicy.
My second cook was a Boston butt. I set the temp to 225, and it pretty much maintained that temp throughout the entire cook, give or take about 5 degrees. The " set it and forget it" is really going to up my BBQ game.
It's still pretty early on, so longevity will tell, but I am super impressed with this unit. Also, if you must contact customer service, I hope you get Destiny. She has been a real pleasure to work with.

I ordered the z grill blind box I got a 550b2…
I ordered the blind box I got a 550b2 this is what most people will get. They charge 399.00 for it the grill is junk it is cheaply made want last. Its a really small grill maybe one slab of ribs it has no shelf on the outside of the grill. it has no way to hang the electric cord real dangerous if it rains, On the inside it has a top shelf that is so small you might be able to put a couple chicken legs on it. I am disputing the charge with the credit card company. I am trying to keep other people from making the same mistake I did. Rural king has the same grill for $269.99 .
On the blind box they claim its worth at least $399.00 you can see that's a lie also the grill with rural king comes with a cover blind box you have to jump thru hoops to get one. I will try to make a video to show how bad it is. I tried to get z grills to make this right by email and phone. They said I should have read that there is no return on the blind box . So here I am stuck with this thing

Hi David,
Thank you for your feedback. Sorry that you had bad experience here. Our grills are build to last and has the strict the quality control, if you had any concerns on your grill, we are glad to help you out.
500B2 is ideal for couples and small families, it features a 553 sq. in. total cooking surface, including a 406 sq. in. cooking grid and a 147 sq. in. removable upper cooking rack. In detail, the top rack is 26.7”x 5.5”, while the bottom rack is 26.2”x 15.5” with a width of 24”. It surely can be put 4 baby rib racks at the same time. Also, you can have about 8 hours cooking without interval due to10 lbs. of hopper capacity.
Thank you for your attention.
