This has hands down been an awful…
This has hands down been an awful experience. Let’s start with events then we can talk about customer service. I purchased a Yarbo and activated it on 8/1, after days of troubleshooting it was determined I received a bad unit. On 9/13 I got a replacement after 4 units had been shipped and pulled back or sent to wrong addresses. It worked. Only the original mower module (not the pro) wouldn’t work well for my yard. So I asked about an exchange. No dice, it had been over 30 days. Yet it hadn’t. It had been 2 weeks with a functional mower. Didn’t matter. They will not accept a swap nor a trade in. Ok, after a horrible start, screw it, I’m stuck with it… let’s get the pro module and give it a go. I also need a plow. After explaining my side to Yarbo, I’m given a 200$ discount code and told to go ahead and buy the promodule. Mind you this is mid October, and I live in a snow state. I had told Yarbo I was looking at a plow as well. I put the plow and the pro module into my cart, go to check out… error, this code isn’t a working code or has already been used. I email Yarbo; they tell me the code is only for the mower attachment… right but I need both, so I have to do two orders? Now I spend the 2600$ on the pro attachment, 5 days later I get an email stating they are out of stock and it will take 30+ days to get. So I will have it in December. There was no mention of this at all at time of purchase. Their customer service team needs to be gutted. They need to have people there who actually understand a complaint, and not have a language barrier. I have 60+ emails from them, 3 different email chains and they have no internal communication. This has been an awful experience and if I had to go back and pick a mower company, it sure as hell would not be Yarbo.
Response from YarboOct 21, 2025
Hello Matt, First, we’d like to sincerely apologize for the unpleasant experience you’ve had with Yarbo. I’ve carefully reviewed all your previous support tickets to trace what happened, and I’m truly sorry for the inconvenience and frustration this has caused. We completely understand how disappointing this process has been, and we take full responsibility for the confusion and lack of coordination on our side. Please rest assured that we are already working to improve our internal communication and customer service process to ensure a much smoother experience for our customers moving forward. Regarding your Mower Pro and Snow Blower purchase, I’d like to clarify a few points: At this time, we unfortunately don’t have a trade-in program for the Mower Pro. The $200 coupon was provided as a special offer for existing Yarbo owners who wish to purchase the Mower Pro module. Because of this, the coupon can only be applied to the Mower Pro order and not combined with other items such as the Snow Blower. If this wasn’t clearly explained by our support team earlier, please accept my sincere apologies for the misunderstanding and lack of clear communication. As for the Mower Pro delivery, we are very sorry for the delay. It may take some additional time before the product can be shipped, but we’d like to make sure your current M1 continues to serve you properly in the meantime. To better assist you and discuss your current issues directly, we’d like to schedule a short meeting with you. You can use the meeting link we sent you earlier in your support ticket to schedule a meeting. During that time, you’re also welcome to share any feedback or suggestions you may have — your input is extremely valuable in helping us deliver better service and make Yarbo a brand you can truly rely on for your yard. Once again, we deeply appreciate your patience and understanding. We’re committed to making things right and restoring your confidence in us.
