Yarbo had it's ups and downs, but in the end it is more than worth the investment. The company sometimes delivers products later or even earlier than anticipated, but in the end the products are well worth the investment. The customer service has taken care of all of my concerns and got things working again when they broke.

Saves tons of time.
When it works, it works. It’s saved me COUNTLESS hours of not having to cut and trim the grass. Did it take some effort? Yes. Did it work automatically the first time? No. Could the mapping software be better? Yes, but there’s now a web based mapper that has been created which has TRANSFORMED the experience.
Snow blowing is awesome, but it does struggle with heavy wet snow, as ALL snow blowers do.
Support is overall very good. Do they resolve things in the end? Yes. But am I handy and do things on my own without having to wait for official support to figure it out? Yes.
So if you’re handy, like to tinker, and want to spend additional time NOT buying gas, not mowing your lawn, not trimming, and not snowblowing your yard, this is the robot for you.

I purchased my Yarbo about a year ago
I purchased my Yarbo about a year ago, at a point when my needs finally met my wants. And not to bury the lead: Yarbo is an expensive proposition. But after a year of ownership, I’ve come to look at it less as simply purchasing a robotic lawn mower or snowblower and more as an investment in something I can use throughout the year.
When I purchased Yarbo, I needed both a new lawn mower and a snowblower. My John Deere riding mower had served me well for 25 years, and after COVID, I spent about five years using a lawn service. I had also been researching autonomous lawn mowers for at least two years when Yarbo came across my feed.
After weighing the pros and cons of the different robotic mowers on the market, Yarbo presented what I felt was the best of both worlds: one autonomous platform capable of doing much more than simply mowing my lawn.
Setup was relatively straightforward. There was some initial trial and error, particularly determining the optimal location for the Data Center, but overall my experience has been very positive.
Where Yarbo really proved its value to me was during last winter’s snowstorms.
Not having to go outside and shovel or wrestle with heavy snow was more than a convenience. My wife didn’t have to worry about me being outside overexerting myself in bitterly cold weather, and I could enjoy a cup of coffee in my pajamas while Yarbo went to work—although I would eventually venture outside to make sure it was actually doing what I expected it to do.
That brings me to something anyone considering Yarbo should understand: Trust, but verify.
This is still relatively new robotic technology. You should expect to spend some time learning the system, adjusting parameters, and refining your work areas and settings to get the best performance. Everything wasn't perfect out of the box, and I didn't expect it to be.
Throughout the winter, spring, and summer, I continued fine-tuning my setup. With that experience—and Yarbo's continued software updates—the system has steadily improved. Today, it is performing the way I expected it to when I made the investment.
The benefits have also become bigger than simply having a cool piece of technology.
I don't have to mow the lawn during extreme summer heat. I don't have to shovel or operate a snowblower in bitter winter cold. That gives me time to focus on other things that are important in my life.
Perhaps even more importantly, as I get older, I can see technology like Yarbo helping me remain in my home longer without having to worry as much about whether I'm physically able to keep up with the lawn, leaves, and snow. That wasn't necessarily the first reason I bought Yarbo, but after a year of ownership, it may ultimately become one of its greatest benefits.
So, is Yarbo for everyone? Probably not.
But if you have the need, appreciate being on the bleeding—or perhaps "cutting"—edge of technology, aren't afraid of a learning curve, and don't mind occasionally getting your hands dirty while dialing things in, I think Yarbo deserves serious consideration.
Especially if you're already in the market for a new lawn mower, snowblower, and potentially a leaf blower, trimmer, and other outdoor equipment in the future.
It's a significant investment. But after experiencing what Yarbo can do throughout all four seasons, I believe the better question isn't simply, "How much does it cost?"
It's "How much are my time, convenience, and independence worth?"
For me, after one year, Yarbo is increasingly answering that question.

Yarbo Mower
Yarbo was highly touted as a functioning robotic lawn mower
That is no way true.
Nearly 3 months on and many calls to support later the mower us still not functioning.
I have probably spent in excess of 4O hours dealing with one issue after another.
Where to start.
1. The equipment was shipped in multiple boxes weeks apart so could not be assembled until everything arrived.
2. Assembly instructions adequate but several times you finish something only to go on and read - Before you do what you have been told to do make sure you have done A.
3. The screen on the yarbo app consists of dark grey writing on a black background which makes reading anything near impossible in the sunlight.
4. Soft ware is the most complicated I have delt with in a while. Totally non intuitive.
5. The yarbo app does not fit ona routine cell phone screen so you can not see some if the command buttons
6 really does not cut i have a low density lawn around the house and it does not cut execpt it would seem by chance.
Support tries to be helpful but nothing gets done really
In short definitely not worth it
Response from YarboOct 8, 2026
Hi there,
First, I'm truly sorry to hear about your disappointing experience with Yarbo so far. I understand that you purchased Yarbo with the expectation that it would save you time and effort, not require you to spend more than 40 hours trying to get it working properly. This is certainly not the experience we want for our users.
I'd like to address each of your concerns:
1. Delivery: I apologize for the inconvenience caused by the shipments arriving separately. Due to Yarbo's size, weight, and inventory availability, different components may be shipped in separate packages. We understand how frustrating it can be to wait for everything to arrive before you can begin setting up your system.
2. Assembly Instructions: Thank you for pointing this out. I'll share your feedback with our documentation team to review the instructions and help prevent similar confusion in the future. If you happen to remember which steps were unclear or out of order, we'd really appreciate it if you could share them with us.
3. App Visibility: I understand how difficult it can be to read the screen outdoors, especially in direct sunlight. I'll pass your feedback along to our App team for further review and improvement.
4. Software Complexity: We aim to provide users with flexible settings and features so Yarbo can adapt to different yard layouts and needs. However, we also recognize that having more features shouldn't come at the expense of ease of use. We'll continue working to make the App more intuitive and user-friendly.
5. App Screen Compatibility: Could you please let us know your phone model? This will help our team investigate the display issue and improve compatibility with different screen sizes.
6. Mowing Performance: Based on your description, Yarbo should be capable of handling your lawn. I'm particularly concerned that you've spent so much time troubleshooting without achieving satisfactory mowing results. Could you please share your support ticket number with me? I'd like to personally follow up on your case and involve one of our experienced Field Service Engineers to thoroughly investigate the issue and work toward a proper resolution.
I'd also be happy to communicate with you directly. Please feel free to reach out to me at [email protected], and I'll personally follow up to help move things forward.
Once again, I'm sincerely sorry for the frustration and time you've spent dealing with these issues. We appreciate you sharing such detailed feedback, and I hope we can help turn your experience around and get Yarbo working the way you originally expected.
Best regards,
Team Yarbo

3 Stars
3 Stars – Good concept, but setup is painful and warranty support fails when you need it
The Yarbo idea is strong when the machine is working. Two big problems drag the experience down.
Setup and instructions
Getting the Yarbo set up is unnecessarily difficult. There is no solid official walkthrough from Yarbo that takes you step-by-step through the full installation and how to use the app. Nothing useful comes in the package. You are left hunting for information on your own. A product this involved needs a clear, complete guide (video + written) for both the hardware setup and the app. That does not exist right now.
Warranty and parts support
I paid for the extended warranty. When the RTK Pro Antenna failed, the replacement process took far too long. Multiple promises of prioritization and timely updates were not kept. The machine has been down during the exact period of heavy rain and rapid grass growth. Because the Yarbo had been handling my lawn, I sold my regular mower. Now I have no backup and the grass is getting away from me while I wait on parts that should have been handled under warranty much faster.
This matches what a lot of other owners report: it is hard to get Yarbo to follow through on parts and support commitments in a reasonable time.
I’m leaving 3 stars instead of lower because the core product can work well when everything is functioning. But a company selling a robot mower and charging for extended warranty has to deliver on two basics: clear setup guidance and reliable, timely parts support. Right now both are weak. Fix those and the rating improves. Leave them and the overall experience stays average.

Yarbo has truly changed my life in the…
Yarbo has truly changed my life in the summer. We have a summer home and were required to come home about every 7 days to mow our 6 acres of lawn. Now we are free to stay at the island for 20 days at a time. My experience has been fairly predictable for a technology such as this. It is a learning curve and probably not for everyone if you think it’s a plug and play device that never needs tending. Most in fact almost all issues I have had with my Yarbo “Donnie” have been user error. And nearly always remedied within a few minutes and almost never with yarbo assistance. Very happy with purchase and will update review when my snowblower goes on in a few months.

I've had the Yarbo mower and snow…
I've had the Yarbo mower and snow blower going on my 2nd year. A few growing pains but overall I am very pleased. We had a lot of snow in Massachusetts last winter and Yarbo did great. I had a problem with communicating with the Rover at the beginning of the summer. I worked with tech support and after a failed refurbish core was sent to me' Yarbo sent me a brand new core to replaced the disabled rover. Everything has been great since. I have since bought the pro mower which was a great upgrade. Also the new GPS antennas have been a very nice upgrade. I even get the GPS signal in the garage now, where I have the base mounted. Thanks Yarbo for a great experience! Ed Kobus
