3 Stars – Good concept, but setup is painful and warranty support fails when you need it
The Yarbo idea is strong when the machine is working. Two big problems drag the experience down.
Setup and instructions
Getting the Yarbo set up is unnecessarily difficult. There is no solid official walkthrough from Yarbo that takes you step-by-step through the full installation and how to use the app. Nothing useful comes in the package. You are left hunting for information on your own. A product this involved needs a clear, complete guide (video + written) for both the hardware setup and the app. That does not exist right now.
Warranty and parts support
I paid for the extended warranty. When the RTK Pro Antenna failed, the replacement process took far too long. Multiple promises of prioritization and timely updates were not kept. The machine has been down during the exact period of heavy rain and rapid grass growth. Because the Yarbo had been handling my lawn, I sold my regular mower. Now I have no backup and the grass is getting away from me while I wait on parts that should have been handled under warranty much faster.
This matches what a lot of other owners report: it is hard to get Yarbo to follow through on parts and support commitments in a reasonable time.
I’m leaving 3 stars instead of lower because the core product can work well when everything is functioning. But a company selling a robot mower and charging for extended warranty has to deliver on two basics: clear setup guidance and reliable, timely parts support. Right now both are weak. Fix those and the rating improves. Leave them and the overall experience stays average.

Hi Martin,
Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We really appreciate your recognition of Yarbo’s concept, modular design, and overall potential, while also being open about the areas where your experience has fallen short.
We’ve reviewed the support ticket regarding your replacement parts and saw your update from two days ago confirming that the correct parts have now been received. We truly hope that after replacing them, your Yarbo is back to working properly.
We’re very sorry that this case took such a long time to resolve. We understand how frustrating it is to deal with repeated follow-ups and delays, especially when waiting for parts needed to get your machine fully operational again.
To acknowledge the inconvenience caused by the extended resolution time, we will also be providing additional compensation. Our team will continue to follow up with you directly through the support ticket regarding the details.
Your feedback around reliability, software maturity, and after-sales service is important to us, and we’ve shared it internally with the relevant teams. We know there is still work to do, and we truly appreciate your continued belief in Yarbo and your willingness to give us the opportunity to improve.
Thank you again for your patience and for being part of the Yarbo community.
Warm regards,
Team Yarbo

Long rocky start but improving.
The company had what I thought was a solid design and great features. Unfortunately a lot of the features never worked as advertised. I was able to get it to work reasonably well with the lack of promised features which saves this rating. I don’t feel this was built for long term due to many failures and loss of functionality. I have had to have multiple components replace. The service team has been a bit of a joke but generally in the end they do the right thing and fix and or replace the bad components. The shipping team at one point was atrocious they have somewhat improved over time. In a nutshell the company seems to be trying to do right and improve but have still not completely won my trust back. I have no choice but to stick with them because it’s too late to turn back now.

Initial setup is hard and support does not respond promptly
Initially, Yarbo support was TERRIBLE! I had to email the CEO to get the proper response to my initial questions. Once I was able to get the right amount of attention, all my issues were resolved. Even though I had issues with setup and GPS, support did resolve these to my satisfactions. My biggest issue is that documentation is not detailed enough for technical users. I am giving 3 stars only because of the initial experience with support. Product is great, once you can get it operational.

Review of my new Yarbo and Modules
I purchased my Yarbo in July 2025 with 5 module attachments (Mower Pro, Snowblower, Leaf Blower, Smart Assist, and Trimmer). I received the Yarbo Core, Snow Blower module and Smart Assist module within a few weeks.
About a month later, the Yarbo Core developed camera issues which required replacing the unit with a brand new Yarbo Core. I got the new Yarbo Core fairly quickly and it has been functioning well since.
The Snow Blower module appears to be performing well, although I have not had the opportunity to test it in real snow yet since it is still early fall.
The Smart Assist module (SAM) took a little time to understand but is working well too. I and many other Yarbo owners are still anxiously waiting on the next app/firmware update which will hopefully allow for the towing of lawn accessories (such as a seed and fertilizer spreaders) without jackknifing. Unfortunately, the app/firmware release date keeps getting pushed farther and farther back.
A few weeks later, I received the Leaf Blower module. Overall, it has worked well. I have noticed if I keep the blower speed on high (level 3) the battery tends to overheat. It takes about 3-4 hours for the battery to cool down, before it will allow recharging. If I keep the speed on low or middle (level 1 or 2), it does not have this problem. This is a little inconvenient.
I finally received the Mower Pro module the first week of October. I have been having "major issues" with this device. It is constantly thinking there is an obstruction in its path. It won't even leave the charging station on its own. I have to use the manual controller on the app to get it off the charger. Then it moves at a snail's pace. I have not been able to use this module for the past 2 weeks due to its poor functioning. I suspect the unit is probably defective and needs to be replaced. I do have an active "ticket" with the Yarbo support team but am disappointed in the response time. It is still early fall, and the grass is still growing.
I am still waiting to receive the Trimmer Module. Currently expecting to get it in the Spring 2026.
Despite the problems I am currently having with some of the modules, I am still very glad I purchased my Yarbo. I truly believe, once the kinks are worked out, it will be a real time saver and an indispensable yard tool.

Some positive and negative experience
After a very unexpected long 1-year wait, I received my Yarbo in December 2023. The assembly was easy, and I was impressed with the detailed instructions and the carefully labeled items that made the assembly very easy to follow. The antenna installation was relatively easy once I rented a boom lift to install it at the peak of my 28' roof, affixing it by the side of the fascia, since I was not going to put any penetration on my new metal roof. The connection inside was easy and provided me with a nice green signal. Then came the task to try and get the Yarbo to connect to my internet. That proved to be quite a task, as I could not see it showing up as one of my devices. Thankfully the Yarbo team guided me via phone through all the steps required to pair it up and getting it finally connected. After that I did not get a chance to map the area due to my schedule constraints and the weather as well, so I just used the Yarbo in the manual mode with the PlayStation controller to clear out the snow as needed. Right off the garage, with very wet snow, it became obvious that the collar by the chute, and also all of the grilles in front had to be removed immediately, as the slush piled up in front (Yarbo became a de-facto snowplow pushing snow rather than throwing it even without the plow accessory) and the chute got plugged almost instantly. After those mods, I was able to somehow clear some of the wet snow, having to pause every 5 feet to clear the chute that became clogged with slosh. After a while I gave up and shoveled the wet snow by hand and I was very disappointed at the lack of performance. Since I never had the chance to properly setup a map and locate the charging pad, I resorted to recharge the Yarbo using the manual charger cable. I used the Yarbo again, this time with dryer snow and again in manual mode using the PlayStation controller and was able to clear my driveway without many problems, other than a recurring loss of GPS signal. I think that even though the antenna has a great signal, the Yarbo itself had trouble communicating since I never bothered to set up the map. Unfortunately, I had to take off for an emergency and my Yarbo has been sitting in the garage unused since early February (I did disconnect the battery prior to leaving). Have not been back since, but plan to get all of the software updates installed next, then get the base located in the proper location and set up the map for the driveway plowing area once I return. I am pretty sure I will have to make a few more calls and get help from the Yarbo team to get rid of all the bugs and get it ready for next winter snowy season. Also looking forward to receiving the M1 attachment in May or June? It will be interesting to see how the mower attachment and the new map for the lawn will work out for the summer.
