Wool & OakReviews of woolandoak.com

Great high quality travel bag. Nice pockets and storage solutions not found in other bags and also can order packing cubes that fit the dimensions perfectly. As with everything there are some cons to take into consideration. The bags are heavy, especially the all leather versions. The bags are expensive and be aware of a large customs fee for anyone ordering outside of the U.S.. all in all a great quality carryon back that should last years, and if leather, one that could last a generation or two.

My Nova Bag was delivered this week. The Zipper work and Leather have a wonderful feel. Im looking forward to traveling with this wonderful equipment.

I placed my original order on August 7, 2023. Like a lot of the reviews recently I also received similar emails regarding the delays with typhoons, customs etc....and was thinking that this was a scam. Much to my surprise I received a message last week saying my Nova bag (small) had shipped with Fedex. I'm currently living in the Philippines and tracked it from LA to here and I am happy to say it arrived today. (Side note: if you don't live in the US make sure you have money for the duties and taxes, it's 40% of the bag value in the Philippines!) It is as advertised, gorgeous bag just as shown. Solid leather, excellent quality and I'll take it in my first travel next week and see how it goes. Can safely say not a scam, took a long time but so far worth the wait. Might need some accessories now!

I received my large leather NOVA bag last week. This is my third w&o Kickstarter purchase. Just as my other w&o products, the quality of the bag is outstanding. The touch, look, and smell of the leather are stunning—even better than some designer bags. The hardware is both sleek and sturdy. The shipping hiccups during this campaign were frustrating, but I expected them from all Kickstarter projects. Things won't always go perfectly; it’s how people handle it that defines the team. I believe w&o have been doing a decent job. I personally find their communications clear, transparent, and effective. Overall, it’s been a satisfactory experience for me.

This was my second item from Wool & Oak and I'm satisfied with the bag that was sent to me. Although a bit late, which is part and parcel of backing Kickstarter projects, the Nova bag I received was well made and exactly matched the description. A small issue I had was rectified quickly with no fuss.

Throughout the process there were a lot delays that were out of the company’s control. They were always communicative and apologetic. I never felt taken advantage of out of the loop, and they did everything possible to make it right. Then once the bag came, I was thrilled with it. Incredible quality and it was exactly as advertised. Really looking forward to my next trip!

I would have chosen 0 stars if that was possible. My bag was supposed to be delivered in December 2023. Since then there has been an excuse or a false promise of delivery. This company is completely unreliable. Do not order here! Not even through Kickstarter. They are scammers. **** new information after wool & oak's response to my review **** It is typical for a scammer to blame or denigrate the victim. Let me refresh your memory. I placed an order for the NOVA bag via Kickstarter on July 30, 2023. The bag would be delivered in December 2023. At the beginning of December I received a message that the bag cannot be delivered due to a cyclone in China. No information about when the bag will be delivered. I will contact you myself in January. You promise to deliver the bag in April 2024. The bag was not delivered in April. I will contact you. You now communicate with 2 email addresses on behalf of customer service: support and wandosupport. One email address promises delivery in the 1st or 3rd week of May. That in itself is a strange promise. The other email address responds a few days later that the batch of new bags has been stuck in a port since March. The bag will of course not be delivered in the third week of May. Not even a confirmation that the shipment has been initiated. And once again I hear nothing from Wool&Oak. I contact them and let them know that I have lost my confidence in Wool & Oak and that I want my money back. Wool & Oak then relies on its return policy of 7 days after placing the order. I have now reported internet scams to the Dutch police. They are going to investigate Wool & Oak. **** extra edit **** Excuse me. It was a cycloon in Chennai (India). I will stop responding via this platform. If you are actually a reliable party, you will ensure that I get my money back. You still sell these bags through your website. Then you can send this bag directly to someone who has confidence in you. Then this new customer does not have to wait a year for his/her purchase. If you have refunded my money within 14 days, I will contact the Dutch police and withdraw my report of internet fraud and update this review on Trustpilot that you have nevertheless been able to implement a reliable, appropriate solution in an attempt to fix the broken customer confidence. P.S. be sure to read the comments on your updates for yourself at the link you provided in your edit 2. There are many more customers like me who confirm that you come up with excuse after excuse without evidence and consistently deliver no products. ***** update 23 June 2024 ***** Finally received my bag after a year. Still waiting for the invoice. I have withdrawn the report of internet fraud to the Dutch police. It is up to the reader of this message to decide for themselves how much confidence you want to have in Wool & Oak.

As a backer of two projects of wool and oak I can share that they are better than most creators. I can tell as a superbacker of more than 100 Kickstarter projects, no project is without delay and unforeseen circumstance. You’ll see many reviews here saying dumb things like a scam or claim the creators were liars or lack transparency. I can tell you pretty much all of the complainers have 0 idea how Kickstarter works and probably shouldn’t be backing projects. As a recipient of both of their products and the second one did have hiccups, the items were both dutifully delivered and of excellent quality. I’ve found wool and oak nothing but professional and forthright. I would gladly back another project if they decide to do something new and innovate again.
