Do NOT sign-up with Wellcare!! I have 7-days left on my Crestor statin meds and I leave tomorrow morning for a 10-day out of state vacation. I run out on July 8th. Wellcare is refusing to allow me to refill it before I take off. They said I can refill it during my vacation only on July 7th. The supervisor just kept re-reading their policy prohibiting me from refilling it a few days early. I stated that I do not even know if I can refill it where I'm going, and why would Wellcare allow me to come within one (1) day of running out of a very important drug in an unknown location...a drug that if I stop taking it suddenly can be life threatening? The supervisor just kept re-reading Wellcare's VERY uncaring policy.

Took a week to get through for a prior authorization appeal/exception to get approved after making me and my provider’s office scared to death they didn’t have all they wanted to approve a medication I have been on for five years then when it was finally approved online CVS still couldn’t access the approval to bill them with the approval as it was a weekend so I have now been without a medication I have been on for five years for a week because all they do is delay paying for any medication for as long as they can and obviously don’t care at all about the patient not having their medication to save their bottom line while collecting the part D money from Medicare. The worst avoid at all costs!

Worst drug plan ever. Will not approve Medicare approved drugs that the patient is more then qualified for. Customer service is terrible. This is a drug plan that refuses to approve Medicare approved drugs, how can that be with a Medicare approved drug plan. WellCare should not be allowed to be a Medicare approved drug plan.

After several hang ups as soon as I begin to speak with an agent was frustrating. I just wanted to cancel the recent changes to my health insurance plan. Since I began trying to cancel I went through approximately 15 separate agents over the course of about 7 days. Today I spoke with Nicole B. 95718 she was well-spoken, welcoming, professional, listened to my request and didn't rush me. Nicole was able to get my cancelation finalized before switching me to finish up verification of my application. 5 + 🌟 🤩 ⭐ 🌠 💫 Nicole B. God Bless you.

They call my cell constantly despite being asked over and over to stop. They even sent me a letter confirming they would stop, then I got another call the very next day.

They gave me absolutely no warning that they dropped my medication from coverage, they didnt notify the dr or pharmacist either. I was out of my meds for too long. Then when i called they said that there is another medication i can take thats covered, so i told my dr she put it through to the pharmacy. 2 days later i call the pharmacy to ask about it and they said they need authorization, from who? my dr already approved it. So i called wellcare again and then they tell me that the new medication isnt covered either, wtf! I called back to talk to a supervisor and he said im sorry about the misinformation. A total of a week i was out of my adhd meds, abruptly stopped after taking them for 6 yrs straight. Worst week ever. Not to mention i was hung upnon twice while on hold and i think they are based in india. Shit company. And i was on the dextroamphetamine etentended release now im on fast acting Ritalin and its screwing me up, i dont like it at all. The other stuff was way calmer. I dont have an extra 180 bucks a month to pay out of pocket.

Worst company we have ever dealt with. They lie about what they cover, give wrong amounts, and approve whatever they decide. They have been no help whatsoever. Please do not ever sign up with wellcare unless you like being lied to or being taken advantage of. Its been hell trying to get some of my mom's medication that they said in the beginning would be covered. Never again.

WellCare continues to not tell the truth about covering a drug that when enrolled, was covered. Four months into the plan they decided to not cover it any longer. WellCare does not call back when promised. They use people who are barely able to carry on a conversation and have an extremely limited vocabulary. Sick of this rip off group!
