If I could give a -10 rating I absolutely would! am DISGUSTED with this HORRIBLE company. I just wasted 2 hours of my life and my eye doc’s life! I had been saving my “healthy benefits” so I could get glasses and contacts. I had the exam, picked out glasses and contacts. Went to pay and healthy benefits card wouldn’t go thru. I called and spoke with four different representatives before I was told that only $63 of the $275 that I have in the healthy benefits is allowed to be applied towards vision expenses. It did not say this anywhere on the website or on paper that I have received, so I wasted all that time and was unable to get what I was there for. It’s bad enough they took away our flex card and we get less pharmacy benefits and we also get less in decent customer service and less in other things that are covered. I have had nothing but trouble with Wellcare since I got It and I honestly do not understand why they call me every single day. Somebody from wellcare calls me at least once a day. I have asked them continuously to not call me anymore. I tell them you are my insurance company and I will call you when I need you. Unfortunately, anytime I’ve needed them and called them they didn’t come through because it’s shitty insurance. Can’t wait to change insurance companies! If you are looking for a Medicare advantage plan run fast and far away from wellcare

Received a voicemail claiming to be WellCare indicating important information about my prescription. They requested I call a number. When I did it was asking personal information. I hung up and called WellCare to verify that it was a scam. The agent from WellCare was difficult to understand and kept trying to verify my identity despite me giving them all the requested information. It was a frustrating experience. The agent was very unprofessional and lacked reasonable insight. Saying, "Sir" repeatedly does not mean they are professional.

Wellcare states that they offer transportation as part of their plan. Upon using this service and scheduling a pick up for a Dr. Appointment and at the same time scheduled a pick up time for a return home, I was left stranded at the Dr.office for hours. Upon finally arriving home a call was immediately placed with Wellcare to complain and question this problem. They stated a grievance would need to be filed and someone would call me from this department to discuss this issue,obtain all information and handle this problem accordingly. Well that never took place no one ever contacted me and today after waiting 30days allowed time( their rules) a letter was received stating that the issue has been resolved. So basically Wellcare only called their vendor who they have a contract with listened to them and low and behold that company lied, in that letter it also states that i have no right to know what action if any has been taken. So a grievance with Wellcare is a one way street, that has not be delt with in a way a grievance should be handled in and way. If you want to be stranded at a Dr. Office, fight to get back home and then have the headache of dealing with Wellcare regarding this issue , who does not apply simple definition of a grievance or how to properly perform a grievance ( simply listing to both sides to obtain proper information). Then run and hand over your money to them. And if they can't handle something this simple, then how are they going to handle your healthcare? If you enjoy being mistreated, disrespected and games played then wellcare is for you! If you want at least semi decent health care where the services they offer can actually be used without the issues then go with another insurance provider and don't use Wellcare! I don't care how cheap they are it's not worth it and the headache it comes with!

My physicians have repeatedly prescribed a well known weight loss drug but one that has uses for other medical conditions. They have denied my coverage several times regardless of the fact that it has helped me in the past not for weight loss but for my medical conditions: kidney disease, pre-diabetic, sleep apnea, etc.

This company is a NIGHTMARE to work with. Don't do it unless you want slammed over to their mail order scrips and constantly harrassed by their stupid phone calls that you have no need for. I am looking into filing a complaint with the Attorney General in Missouri. This is ridiculous.

Whatever you do, if you value your health and your sanity, DO NOT enroll with wellcare! First of all, I tried to enroll in a wellcare d snp plan, everything seemed to go well and I got a confirmation number. 3 weeks later I called to ask some questions prior to my start date. They informed me I had been terminated, before I even started! Over the next few days I spent over 6 hours on the phone with them, doing joint calls to medicaid, speaking to over 15 people, just to be told I'm not eligible because it's outside normal enrollment time! Even tho I told them repeatedly I am eligible to change plans anytime I want due to my medicaid status! I finally called Medicare itself who sent a new enrollment and tho it took a couple weeks to find out, I was enrolled no problem! Then I tried calling to ask for a care advocate to access certain benefits, which were the sole reason I chose this company, and the care management agent refused to take my call! I knew the entry level customer svc person could not assist me as I'd already tried that route and don't have energy to waste! I'm mostly bedridden and have complex chronic illnesses as well as being audhd! I'm already in a crash and their consistently incompetent and poor attitude customer disservice has now put me in a meltdown! Stay away from wellcare! They've earned their poor star rating!

I'm very grateful for the card and I can use it at Walgreens Frys and Target pretty well but Safeway CVS and Walmart are a bust, Wellcares online catalog is a disgrace the worst lineup of vitamins and other items that I've ever seen. I've been able to get a greens, protein powder, creatine, Lyons Maine heart chews,at the ones that do accept the card but the other ones I listed above are a bust.

Since the prescription donut hole was eliminated and now there is a 600 or so dollar deductible plus a monthly premium, it is cheaper for me to use discount plans for my scripts. Plus the fact that they have bedn calling me EVERY DAY and asking me to call them back. They are more obnoxious than medicare part C sales people. Run from this company
