The Only Wheelchair for Lt. Dan!
Lt. Dan s a paralyzed German Shorthair Pointer. He became part of our family as a puppy in the spring of 2017. Abandoned as a small puppy on a backroad in South Carolina, he was paralyzed from the hips down, unable to use his hind legs. He was placed in a wheelchair cart from the very beginning. Of course he grew and has long outgrown the wheels he came to us with (and a few more for that matter). We've spent lots and lots of money on custom wheelchairs that have fallen apart or broke not long after we got them, unable to be repaired. We know, he's rough on his wheels. We've tried carts from most of the major players in the wheelchair game, but none were as amenable as his Walkin' Pets wheels. This wheelchair cart been amazingly sturdy. Unpleasant as it may be, an incontinent dog can soil himself, requiring some refreshing of his cart parts. Thankfully, replacement leg rings and harnesses are replaceable and easily obtained from the website. Last, but not least, the customer service is excellent, attentive and expeditious!
